The Monarch School & Institute

The Monarch School was founded in January 1997 with a mission "to provide an innovative, therapeutic education for children with neurological differences".
We serve the needs of children with neurological differences such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (Autistic Disorder, Asperger`s Disorder, PDD-NOS), Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Tourette`s Syndrome, Mood Disorders (Bipolar Disorder, Depression), Anxiety Disorders, and other neurological differences. The majority of our students also have an executive functioning disorder, which is addressed through our unique Executive Functions program.
But at Monarch, working with children has never been about labels.
For us, it's about knowing each child as an individual, unique in the universe.
The uniqueness of Monarch is its therapeutic setting with psychologists and teachers working together in the classroom and with parents.
The work is centered in four core goals: Ownership of: (1) academic competence (2) self-regulation and self-awareness (3) relationship development (4) executive functions The school provides a structured learning environment, with individualized plans specific to each child.
