The Arbor School of Central Florida offers sensory-based classroom settings for students with ADHD, high-functioning autism, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other disabilities
Let us be your child's specialized education school and see them grow
At our school, you can be confident our teachers will recognize the inherent intelligence of your child, we teach the individual to the best of their abilities.
Our school uses sensory-based therapies such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, and music therapy tailored to bring out the best in your child.
You can count on extensive experience in this field to help provide the best learning experience for your child. At The Arbor School, we follow a developmental approach and meet each student at his or her level.
Academic, therapeutic, and social goals are written based on the child`s developmental level and include specific multi-sensory goals to help them progress.
Children with autism tend to develop socially and academically with scattered skills, unlike children with other disabilities.
It is our approach to look at each child and find those delayed or missing skills and those that have developed.
Goals are based on helping the child fill in those missing developmental milestones while encouraging and supporting their strengths and talents.

Arbor School students have diagnoses such as ADHD, High-Functioning
Autism, learning disabilities, Down syndrome, and other unique
abilities. Our school was created to meet our students' needs
through the Greenspan Floortime approach to achieve sensory and
emotional integration through therapies such as occupational,
speech, language, music, and an art class with
multi-intelligence-based academic learning. The late Dr. Stanley
Greenspan developed the Greenspan Floortime Approach. Floortime
meets children where they are and builds upon their strengths and
abilities through interacting and creating warm relationships.
Therapeutic, academic, and social goals are written based on the
child`s development level and include specific multi-sensory goals
to help them progress. The Arbor School team is deeply dedicated to
children and young adults with autism and other unique
abilities.
All classrooms at Arbor School are sensory-based. Each class is set up to meet the needs of the students with bean bags, low tables for floor sitting, space to stand, quiet spaces, and natural lighting. Our therapists collaborate with our teachers, ensuring that all aspects of the child`s needs are met.
