School Notes
- St. William of York Catholic School is proud to be part of a timeless tradition of Catholic integral formation, an educational mission to form the whole child, intellectually, spiritually, morally, and physically. Our dedicated and inspiring teachers and I understand what all parents want for their children: to learn and embrace their faith, to excel in academics to the best of their abilities, to be challenged to think clearly and communicate effectively, to develop wholesome friendships, to grow in virtue and a sense of service, to discern their unique vocations in life, and to be prepared for the challenges of adult life in the 21stCentury.As we share the same hopes and dreams of every parent, our academic programs and priorities are geared toward the maximum intellectual and moral growth of every child. Our students are on a joyful yet rigorous and age-appropriate pathway of learning, a path always and everywhere imbued with the truth of why God made us and guided by the reality of how He made us.We are excited at St. William of York to be part of a growing wave of enthusiasm and renewed commitment to the Church`s educational tradition that is spreading across our great nation, a refreshing movement that seems to create enrollment waiting lists wherever it blossoms, and an encouraging trend and sure sign of optimism for our young people, our future leaders, who are indeed the "hope of the Church."

I love this school! My son went from 3rd grade until he graduated in 8th grade. While he was not at the top of his class here at SWOY and did not receive any academic awards at graduation, he went on to the Commonwealth Governor's School where he received highest honors in Latin and AP Science. He has done exceedingly well and I attribute it to the foundation given to him by the dedicated staff and faculty at Saint William of York School.
