- YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS AT THE HEART
- We are a family. We take pride in creating and maintaining a sense of familial unity throughout all four years of a child's high school education. At Sacred Heart, we are a diverse community of joyful and confident students who love to learn and who are nurtured by a faculty fully committed to their mission of teaching.
- Academic Excellence, Lifelong Success
- Founded in 2004 and rapidly growing,Sacred Heart of Jesus High Schoolis accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and is a member of both the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the National Association of Private Catholic Independent Schools (NAPCIS).Our continuous growthis due to the dedication and superior training of our faculty, our low student to teacher ratio, and the welcoming and inclusive nature of our student community. As a top private school, Sacred Heart offers excellent academics including regular, honors, and AP courses, as well as the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credits. Our graduates have a 100% college acceptance rate and exceed the national, state, and local averages on the ACT. SHJ students have been admitted to a wide range of colleges, including local and state schools, as well as nationally ranked and Ivy League universities.
- We understandthe financial struggles facing families today. Sacred Heart has the lowest tuition rate of any private high school in Jackson, and also offers financial aid. Our mission as a collegiate preparatory school is to help our students find opportunities to graduate from college debt-free. For many families, one long-term reward of investing in a Sacred Heart education is the continuous assistance our students receive to find college scholarship dollars. The 35-member Class of 2022accepted over five million dollarsin college scholarships. The potential benefits of debt-free higher education can far outweigh the cost of attending Sacred Heart.

This school has such a strong community of educators and students! I really enjoy working here: my coworkers lift one another up, both sports and the arts are highly valued (as well as academics!), and the administration really cares about the teachers. I would recommend it as a workplace as well as a school. I would send my high-school-aged kids here if I had any!

Not only have I taught at Sacred Heart for seven years, but I have sent both of my children to this amazing school. The quality of the education they have received is unsurpassed, and the opportunities for them beyond high school are endless. They have thrived in this family-like environment of small classes and one-on-one attention. Sacred Heart offers all the extra-curricular activities of much larger schools with all the personal attention that only a small school can offer - music, theatre, dance, visual art, and countless athletic teams make SHJ a desirable place to be. As a teacher, I have been mentored by knowledgable and invested administrators, and have enjoyed teaching in a place where arts and athletics are equally supported. The teachers at Sacred Heart care deeply about our students and each other, and I love going to work every day.
