La Scuola is an English/Italian bilingual school, offering an international education to a diverse student body.
The academically rigorous curriculum provides a strong foundation in liberal arts, mathematics and science; total immersion in foreign languages from the outset; in-depth study and appreciation of American, European and Italian civilizations and cultures.
The bilingual curriculum is open to English speaking students, as the languages of learning are both Italian and English.
English students not yet familiar with Italian receive special support in this subject.
Full immersion and the interaction with children of different nationalities facilitate their learning of a foreign language.
Our diplomas are honored both in the United States and in the European Union, and students can transfer from and to other schools in both countries.
We are proud to offer an encouraging and stimulating environment, new spacious facilities at Middle School level, and to avail ourselves of skillful and competent teachers.

La Scuola is a fantastic place! I have two kids there, in 7th and 11th grade, and it is their second year at La Scuola. We came from Rome, where they attended the best public schools. Well, La Scuola is absolutely comparable to them and I need to add that the Faculty is absolutely caring and enthusiastic, and very attentive to each and every need of the kids. The bi-lingual education is an incredible plus and I think that also for an American student it is a great privilege to read immortal authors in their own language, English, Italian, French or Latin. The International Baccalaureate Diploma also is a great opportunity for kids to challenge themselves (and La Scuola is among the very few schools in NYC to have it!).Last but not least: at La Scuola, kids did not loose a single hour, due to the pandemic! They immediately set up a perfect environment of online schooling, and since the reopening in September 2020, they are every and each day at school in person!Pls feel free to contact me for any information you may need about La Scuola: I will be happy to share them with everybody!

My son started in Pre K, and he is graduating next year. He loves the school and so do I. Incredible academic program, top-notch teachers and the IB diploma is really a plus to get the students the possibility to access any university in the US and abroad. There is a sense of community which is quite unusual for any school in New York.
