Grace Christian Academy

Prior to coming to Grace Christian Academy (GCA), my daughter and I prayed that God would literally direct our steps and show us where He wanted her to attend school as she was approaching the end of 5th grade and beginning the 6th grade in the fall of 2023. Though my daughter was already enrolled in another Christian School after pulling her out of public school in the 3rd grade, the Lord kept highlighting GCA in our spirit when we would pray. After attending an open house in February of 2023 and meeting with Mr. Schultz, the Head Master who was able to give me a better understanding of what biblical classical education is I knew that GCA is where the Lord was leading us to go. I can honestly say that GCA has a very strong Biblical worldview and focus where its students are trained and influenced to be true servants and warriors for Jesus Christ. GCA teaches its students on how to think, not just what to think, its strong theological influence and the fact that everything that is taught, is taught through a Biblical lens and worldview. The principles my daughter is learning now will follow her for the rest of her life.There are so many things I love about GCA but what probably stands out the most, is that GCA truly is a community, actually a family knit together by the power of the Holy Spirit. What an incredible blessing it is to be surrounded by teachers, staff, and fellow parents that truly understand the assignment of raising up children in the instruction and calling of the Lord.GCA comes alongside families and ensures that the academic education of our children is a cohesive piece in our parenting discipleship. GCA not only has a commitment to excellence in teaching academic subjects, is also committed to teaching our children the character of God and His Godly wisdom through scripture, which non biblical classical schools are just not able to provide. My daughter is fourth grade student in GCA. She is having good time studying at school. She likes her classmates and teachers and doing very good in the class. I used to homeschool her last few years. Due to family situation changed, we decided to send her to Christian private school. We thank God for us found GCA, the school not only provide Christ center education but also some enrichment programs like chess, drone and fencing etc. We are grateful that GCA offers affordable tuitions for Christian families and provides safe environment for our children learning and growing. What touch my heart most is to see many Christian teachers and staffs dedicated their life to teach and serve in the school. Highly recommended GCA for your children!

Discussing the changes in my child at GCA, after transferring to Grace Christian Academy, my child has gained a significant sense of security and recognition from the school and teachers. My child enjoys harmonious relationships with teachers and fellow students, and there has been substantial academic improvement. Influenced by the school's overall environment, my child has developed a proactive attitude towards learning and self-motivation, which are vital. The teachers display high professionalism with key attributes of patience and tolerance. Although the trend is towards technology in education and high computer usage, the school adheres to classical education and sensibly limits computer use, providing the most authentic learning experience. Direct teaching from the teachers not only enhances my child's communication and expression skills but also, in contrast with impersonal computers, fosters empathy through continuous interaction. Reading, writing, and language arts are of the highest standard, establishing a solid literary foundation, which is a distinctive feature of GCA. Extracurricular activities, such as creating and performing in musicals, have tightened the bonds among students, parents, and teachers, helping my child experience team spirit, self-worth, and accomplishment. All these wonderful developments occur under God's grace. The proper establishment of my child's values has gradually been shaped at GCA, and we are thankful to the Lord for this.

As a Christian family, our desire for our children is to grow in the fear of the Lord and to love Him with all their hearts. With this is mind, we decided to remove our teenage son from public school. We prayed, researched, found Grace Academy, met the headmaster, and immediately chose this institution for our son's biblical based education. We are thankful for all the amazing educators who have shown grace, mercy, and patience to our son. The transition from public school has not been easy, but it has been totally worth it. We look forward to more years in this school.

My daughter has been going to GCA since she's been in kindergarten. I could not be more pleased of an educational establishment. There values and teaching are top notch!

Since 2015, I've had two children attended this school. I can't say enough good things about the Christocentric foundation that is in every subject taught at GCA. It's literally a blessing for my family to have had our children attend this school. One of my children graduated during the pandemic in 2020 and the other one is still attending. We homeschooled our children prior to them attending GCA, however it was just difficult to keep them at home, due to some extraneous circumstances. When we started looking around to see where to send them (public school was never an option at the time), we stumbled upon this goldmine. The teachers are wonderful and dedicated to the students' educational journey. They don't teach what to think, but how to think critically by using logic. My family and I are tremendously blessed by the kind of education that is offered at GCA. The work is rigorous, but it's absolutely worth it. The children are challenged to achieve beyond what they think they are capable of. I love having theological, social, and even historical discussions with my children because of their clear thinking about some of the weightier issues. They're able to think critically and biblically because of their ability to apply scripture to their argument. I encourage any parent who is looking for a great school to give GCA a sincere look.

I have two kids at Grace Christian Academy now, and they went to public schools before. My kids are very happy and satisfied with this school and want to stay at the school forever. Grace Christian Academy is the best school I can find on Long Island to educate my kids with a biblical worldview. The school offers Christ centered classical education, which is challenging and excellent. I am very satisfied and amazed with what they read and learned at school. The teachers are very kind, caring and encouraging to the students. They are the role models for the students to follow. I feel very blessed that there is such a great school on Long Island . For the parents who are hesitating by the distance, pls don't worry about it. I don't live in Merrick, but my kids can get school buses there through an application to my own school district. If you are interested, call the school to schedule a tour, and your kids will love it!

Grace Christian Academy has been a huge blessing to not only my daughter but to the whole family as well. She has been in the school for four years now, and she has grown so much academically and, most importantly, spiritually. She loves her teachers and classmates. When I drop her off in the morning, it doesn't feel like I'm dropping her off to school; it feels like I'm dropping her off to her second home and family. In GCA, the gospel is of first importance, and academics is held at a high standard. Teachers have helped my daughter succeed when she has struggled, and I will always be grateful for that.

My daughter started at this Education Foundation. The curriculum is very vigorous, She is now going off to college and I believe this was the best stepping stone in ear education.

I have two children at Grace Christian Academy-Merrick. They have such a joy for learning and a thirst for knowledge in a variety of topics, most importantly their love and knowledge of the Lord. This school has been a tremendous blessing.

This school is at the forefront of what a real education looks like. The classical method of teaching used here, is catapulting these students to a level way above their peers. I give it 5 stars.

If you are a parent or caregiver and are looking for an education for your child where Christ is first, followed by a rigorous academic curriculum, that places students on a trajectory to succeed in life and at life, places Grace Christian Academy at the top of your list. GCA offers small class sizes, a welcoming and diverse community of students and staff. My son who is a senior and who has been a student at GCA since sixth grade has developed into a confident, responsible young man who is prepared for college and beyond. Lastly, Mr. Schultz, the Headmaster, is a gifted communicator and leader with a clear vision for the future of GCA and its students.

GCA is a great school, it's been wonderful for my 10-year-old boy, great teachers, nurturing, encouraging, very helpful. great curriculum with the teachers' support. If you're a Christian family concern about your child growing in the faith in Jesus Christ GCA it's a great place, they memorize the scriptures, have a weekly worship service. GCA is a place I wish I could go every day!!!

As a former student, I wholeheartedly support this fantastic institution. While I only could attend for a short time, it was incredibly impactful. Now, as an attorney and a military officer, I look back with thankfulness for this incredible school. Christ is taught in every subject, and a very high degree of academic excellence is maintained to this day. Any parent would be blessed to send their child here.

Grace Christian Academy is a wonderful place where your child will get an outstanding education. When I first visited the school, I was not very familiar with classical education. After meeting with the school's headmaster and meeting a few students, I knew that's where I wanted my daughter to be. We mainly wanted a Christian school with the strong academics, Grace Christian Academy exceeded all my expectations. The Biblical teaching is so profound. The students, including the little ones in the lower school, are well versed in scripture. In addition, everything the school teaches, from the curriculum to conflict resolution, is Bible based. I highly recommend this school to anyone seeking, more than a school, a safe place to send their child to learn true Christian values and the best academic education in Long Island.

After homeschooling our children for several years, my wife and I decided we wanted to send our 4 oldest children to a solid, well run academy with enough diversity in its curriculum to cover a broad spectrum. We found that and so much more at Grace Christian Academy. The classical Christian approach utilized at GCA not only challenges our children, but has molded them into so much more than what we bargained for. We've noticed changes in character, maturity, discipline as well as a dramatic change in their work ethic as well. The work load at GCA is heavy and extremely challenging, but also well balanced and geared toward equipping a child's mind to becoming not only successful as an adult, but impacting the world through the eyes of God's Word. No school I know of employs such a curriculum quite like GCA. We are very thankful to God to be able to send our children there. Their staff is on par with excellence.

Grateful for GCA!! We needed to find a school for our son and stumbled on GCA via online search. We met with the Headmaster and was pretty confident after that initial meeting we wanted our son to enroll. Fast forward to now (March 2019) we have been a part of the GCA family for more than half of the school year and we couldn`t be happier. The work is challenging and the structure is rigid.

This is an excellent school and a great family to be part of! All of our children attend GCA and we wouldn't have it any other way. They are regularly challenged beyond what they thought were their limits and will be well prepared to excel wherever they go. We are very happy with their spiritual maturity and academic competitiveness. The call to good citizenry is clearly sought at GCA and we are blessed to belong here!

My family and I feel very Bless that God leads us to this school, excellent teachers that truly model Christ. They motivate are kids every day in every aspect, my kids actually love going to school every day. Would truly recommend it.

We found GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY and wish we would have found this school sooner. This is the best decision our family has made for our child. The school challenges our daughter academically. We have no doubt whatsoever that she will be prepared for college. The school promotes knowing your faith and using it it your daily life. This school environment Teaches the students to be honest, possesse integrity, morality, Kindness and compassion. The staff and teachers are the warmest group of educators I have com across. It FEELS LIKE FAMILY HERE! Public schools are lost and have no desire to educate and protect ours kids. Forget about morales being taught in public school. Enroll at Grace Christian Academy...You will be making the best decision for your child!!

What a goldmine I found at Grace! I was looking for a K-12 private, Christian school that wasn't out of my price range or bus district. On my first interview at GCA when I understood their structure and worldview I was sold! Learning about the Classical method of education was the real clincher for me - I couldn't have asked for more for my children! I can say from experience that the high standards they hold for their students also holds true for their excellent staff. Top notch teachers who give above and beyond is an understatement!

I would recommend this school to any parent that is concerned about their child receiving a Christ-centered, Biblically sound, and academically rigorous education. The teachers are solid and demonstrate constant concern for their students. I have three children and have been satisfied with the education each one of them has received to this point. I also appreciate the school's posture of not lowering their standards to accommodate governmental curriculum or testing. I don't have much money but will send my children nowhere else as long as I am able. I love this place!

I have two children in GCA, the work is challenging, the curriculum is excellent, the teachers are solid and dedicated. My children could not get the same level of education and any where else at this price. They are taking AP classes and have advanced college credits. My oldest is a Senior this year and has been accepted to and was awarded a scholarship to her first choice University, I believe that she could not have accomplished this with out the caring staff at GCA .
