Gaarde Christian School was founded in 1967, and has been educating children in Southwest Portland for 50 years and counting.
We are registered with the State of Oregon Department of Education and are an active member of the Association of Christian Schools International. We are accredited through Advance Eduction, Inc.
It is our mission to create a loving, Christian environment in which children are educated at a standard of excellence above reproach, from our Preschool Program all the way up through Middle School.
Our Elementary and Middle School curriculum are Christ-centered and progressively developed to meet individual needs.
We believe children learn best through active involvement in a loving environment, and intentionally strive to build such an environment in our classrooms and in our school.
Our curriculum prepares the students for middle school and senior high. We have great teacher to student ratios in all classrooms and our teachers work closely with students and their parents.
