Our son has attended Portland Christian for the last 5 years. The teachers, staff, and administrators are amazing people who truly love what they do and who work hard to provide academic excellence in a Christian-based setting. At an early age, children are taught to respect themselves, their classmates, teachers, and staff. Children are taught about accountability to help prepare them for higher education or life beyond the classroom. The school offers a wide variety of sports and extracurricular activities that have helped our son with personal growth and team building. Our family is thankful to be a part of a school that works together with parents to make sure our children grow academically & spiritually.

Your child will get such a good education at Portland Christian. This is our second year there, and we have had a great experience. -Their building security and check-in process is safe. -Within days of my daughter starting school, it seemed like every staff member knew her by name. -There are a lot of opportunities for parent and family involvement. -The school is more diverse than our public school. I feel she's getting a well-rounded education with the leaders and historical figures she studies and the books I see on classroom shelves and that she brings home is not associated with a church, so my daughter is around people from different denominations who may worship and pray differently than her.-They have a covered play structure so they can play on it even when it rains.-The teachers are phenomenal. My daughter's first-grade teacher went out of her way at conferences to tell us how she was working to challenge our daughter in areas she's above grade level in because she told us it is good for kids to be challenged and frustrated to an extent. That really impressed me because it's so above and beyond and showed that she really cares about our daughter's growth, not just teaching a checklist of what they need to know. I get to listen to kids read once a week, and I've been blown away by how much they've improved. They really get a good education here.

PCS Elementary has been a great experience for my son & our family. The teachers & faculty are all exceptional! They love what they do and it shows. There positive influence allows for a teaching environment that is unique compared to a lot of other schools. The small student to teacher ratio has allowed our son to advance at his own pace & really grasp what he is learning. We looked at a lot of private schools before applying to PCS and have enjoyed watching our son prosper.
