School Notes

At CCA, our unique model nurtures the whole child – academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. From hands-on, project-based learning to intentional mentoring, the learning experience at CCA offers something unique to families looking for an education for their child that cultivates the heart as well as the mind.
  • A Christ-Centered Foundation: At CCA, we teach from a biblical worldview, helping our students to understand themselves and the world around them in light of the truth revealed in God’s Word. Rather than relegating the Bible to one class a day, students are encouraged to discover God’s truth in each subject area and use the Bible as their primary source of knowledge and wisdom.
  • Meaningful Relationships: Each student at CCA is paired with a Homeroom Shepherd or Middle School Mentor, a faculty member dedicated to their social, emotional, and spiritual growth. These discipling relationships help students to thrive academically and relationally both in and outside of school. Our low student to teacher ratio cultivates an environment where each student is seen, heard, encouraged, and challenged.
  • A Culture Of Service: Local and global service opportunities challenge students to broaden their worldview and use their skills and talents to serve others as the hands and feet of Christ. Our six Service Fridays throughout the year provide opportunities to thoughtfully implement learning for the good of others and the glory of God.
  • A Love Of Learning: At CCA, we believe students learn best by doing. Hands-on, project-based learning encourages students to develop 21st-century skills, connect concepts to the real world, and cultivate a genuine love of learning.Experiential learning activities promote curiosity and enthusiasm for new ideas and challenges.

I have 4 kids going to CCA and we love it! After being in one of the most well-known and prestigious private schools in Charlotte, we made the decision to pull our kids out and send them to CCA a few years ago. CCA focuses on areas no other local school does and the learning it provides goes way deeper than just pages in a book. For one, they focus on the child's emotional intelligence and they intertwine all they do and teach with Scripture. Our kids hate missing school and look forward to going there daily. The school also focuses on academics and offers individualized learning so every student can progress at their own pace. From internships and Stem labs to writing poems outside and having walk-and-talks with their teachers - this school is a blessing to all its students and parents!

My son loves his teachers! The staff is all very kind. The academic program is fabulous for kids who are ready to move on at their own pace after mastering concepts. The cultural studies and enrichment classes have been great too! My son can't wait for flag football in the spring!

Calvery Christian is such a special and amazing place! My two boys are thriving and absolutely love going to school. They are known as well as seen by their teachers and have demonstrated such an interest in the world around them which I credit to CCA. The unique and hands on experience is unlike others in the surrounding area. CCA puts God first in the educational experience while also making it unique and fun. We are so blessed and thankful to be a part of the CCA family and 100% recommend CCA to anyone looking for a unique and set apart Christian private school setting!

This school stands out among the rest due to many reasons but one in particular is the unique academic environment in which they have created. Not only is learning fun because it's hands-on and experiential, but the way in which the teachers seek to know, challenge, and advocate for the students is unparalleled. Plus, the spiritual vitality, biblical theology, and discipleship that runs throughout every class and every grade is palpable and unparalleled.
