Avenues seeks to build a student body that reflects the diversity of each community it serves. As our mission states, we aim to be, “humble about [our] gifts and generous of spirit.” In addition to the work done by our students, staff and parents through Avenues community engagement initiatives, our financial assistance program is one more manifestation of that commitment. For the 2021-22 school year, Avenues provided nearly $15 million in aid to families who qualified for financial aid.At Avenues New York, financial aid is typically available for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. We encourage you to consider Avenues even if you cannot afford the full cost of tuition, as financial aid may be available. Our team is committed to helping you navigate this process. The primary responsibility for tuition rests with the family, and each family is expected to fully utilize its own resources before requesting financial aid. Avenues recognizes the uniqueness of each situation and tailors aid packages to meet the demonstrated needs of each qualified family.

I would recommend looking at more established schools. From what we have seen, there's extensive unaddressed bullying. And it appears quite a bit of teacher turnover. They recently broke up the "World" school, selling two schools to an entity that is owned by a private equity firm and a pension board. One of the other schools, the Silicon Valley school, cannot apparently even offer a full-time campus and is exploring offering some kind of in-person and remote hybrid offering (per their own website); for $60,000 odd you'd expect a campus. We left for a more established school and it was the best move we ever made.

Avenue is a project-based school that encourages student collaboration and a high level of academic excellence in a more modern and forward-thinking way. The ability to find let your child find their passion is what sold me on Avenues. As my child enters high school I am happy with how he has developed into a student of the world and his involvement and concerns with global issues.

Avenues is an exceptional academic experience. It prepares students to think and engage and discover their passions. I moved to NYC with my third child. All three of my children are high academic achievers. Having said that, I have experienced many schools. Avenues is by far the school that prepares a student to achieve success for the future outside of school.
