ARS is truly the hidden gem of the upper west side. My son has been attending ARS since kindergarten. He is truly thriving. The teachers are brilliant and passionate about teaching. My son feels loved by everyone. The head of School, Brinton is the best!!! I am so happy to be a part of such a loving family. I recommend it to everyone. The only downside is that it only goes to the 5th grade.

My children have been attending ARS since 2018 and we are so grateful to have discovered this wonderful school. ARS has the most talented, dedicated teachers I've encountered. The small class sizes allow for plenty of individualized attention, which has been such an advantage for my children. They come home happy and excited every day about what they've learned and their relationships with their classmates. ARS provides a very safe and nurturing environment for them which puts me at such ease. I love that the academics are so strong and the programs are robust. The Head of School is so impressive and simply wonderful. She's helped to create a very close-knit, loving, inclusive nature in the school. She has also handled Covid so well and was able to keep the school open every day for in-person learning in the 2020-2021 school year, with no Covid cases in the school and no closures. The administration is equally excellent, and ARS has such a diverse and charming group of kids and parents. My children both attend the after-school program, which has tons of offerings and amazing leaders. They also have a summer camp that allows the kids to spend much of their day in Central Park and has creative and academic components as well. I really cannot say enough positive things about this school! My family is lucky to have found ARS, and my children are thriving in every way.

A gem of a school! Our child is happy and thriving. We feel she is in a safe environment where curiosity is encouraged and learning feels organic by design. The administration is knowledgeable, nurturing, and very hands-on. They work with families to meet each child's needs. The new Head of School is a great leader with an open door policy who continues to cultivate an environment of inclusivity, respect, and love of learning. Teachers are encouraged and given autonomy to teach the curriculum using their talents. Weekly assemblies further strengthen community bonds and parent involvement. Best kept secret on the Upper Westside!
