My daughter started in pre-school (4/5's) and is currently in the 7th grade. We are so grateful that we have had Bank Street be our partner in raising our child. The educators year by year have been consistently thoughtful, intentional and expanded our minds in who our child is and can become. We feel that our daughter is prepared academically AND socially/emotionally for high school. And, with Covid, I would not want my child to be anywhere else.... they have held our hands every step of the way!

My daughter will be starting her 9th year at Bank Street's School for Children this fall and our family is lucky to have been a part of such a thoughtful and supportive community that celebrates education both within and outside the classroom. When people ask me why we chose Bank Street, I always tell them: the TEACHERS. The teachers know my child: her strengths, how she likes to learn when she needs additional support, and what makes her excited about coming to school. The teachers are the centerpiece of the school and their intentional methodologies guide the school in today's ever-changing landscape. Deeply grateful to Bank Street.

Excellent education that remains true to its progressive values. Leadership tries very hard to live up to the school's social justice and equity values. Students go on to the top private, public and boarding high schools in the region.

This school is simply the best. The feeling of family, the diversity, the engagement of the faculty and staff, and their amazing integration of the neighborhood into a wide-array of lessons and activities make it the kind of place that have created a bedrock of love-for-education in my daughter that is irreplaceable. I cannot express my gratitude to the faculty there for their individualized attention my daughter receives, and the care and graciousness with which they engage the challenges of educating the next generation. My daughter's reading and math skills are through the roof, and her engagement with the community and the big issues of the day show a true leader in the making.

We could not be happier with Bank Street. The school has nurtured our child's curiosity and confidence and she is eager to learn. During summer break she told us that she wants to be back at Bank Street because she learns so much. The teachers are experts in their field and devoted to providing a nurturing, challenging, and rigorous academic experience - all in a supportive environment. The leadership is accessible and the parent body open and accepting. We love the school.

Bank Street School for Children has been a part of my family for more then 45 years. My brother and I were educated there and now my children. There are so many alumni whom have chosen to send their children to the school which I believe is a testament to the significant positive impact in each child's life the school holds. If you want your children to receive a rigorous education where they learn to be complex and critical thinkers while holding the values and needs of a larger community then Bank Street is the school for your family. The teachers, administrators and families are fantastic and we feel grateful to have our children at the school every day.

Bank Street has been one of the key institutions in forming me as a student, a citizen, a professional, a person of character, and a life-long learner. I was so privileged to attend Bank Street for elementary school, and now so lucky to be able to send my own children. It is truly a special, indeed magical, school.

I am a parent of two children at Bank Street. When we enrolled our oldest in pre-K, he had trouble speaking to others, especially children, and had pretty bad social anxiety. Now, he has found himself and I thank Bank Street. He can still get nervous, but he knows who he is. He knows his strengths and weaknesses. And he's found power in his voice. And our younger boy, who has no anxiety, is also flourishing, finding his voice with such empathy and awareness of others. Both boys care about others, historically and in the present. They want to be "Change- Makers". Can't think of a better goal for a child...to want to make a difference in the world. That's what a Bank Street education instills. We love it. It's a special school. I just wish I had that kind of learning experience when I was a kid.

Bank Street is an absolutely incredible place, and the experiences and values I have gained there will continue to resinate with me throughout the rest of my life. This past year (June 2012), I graduated from Bank Street, and I''m currently continuing my education at Friends Seminary. After my 10 years spent at Bank Street, it has truly become a home to me. The people in this school are charming, kind, interesting, and over just wonderful to be with. Friendships have formed at Bank Street that will last a lifetime. Nothing can ever compare to Bank Street, as it stands proud and tall as a unique environment where every student it made to feel confident and comfortable with who they are. It's now 4 months after my graduation, and I cannot express to you how much I long for just one more day in this sacred place. Bank Street is a fantastic place for physical, intelectual, and emotional growth, and I hope that you highly consider it when choosing a school.
