This school is very competitive academically in the 6th through 8th grade. Expect your child to work very hard. The leadership and teachers are no nonsense, as a result, the students are well disciplined and hard working. This school is a good fit if you are wiling to offer a lot of support as a parent and if your child is willing to work very hard. It is very easy to fall behind if your child slacks off. The students in the upper grades are very competitive and unless your child is tops academically it will be very difficult for them to keep up. Great school if you want your child to get into a top NYC high school.
