With a legacy of excellence in Catholic education since 1951, OLM offers its students an opportunity to pursue excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts, all rooted in our Catholic faith.Academically:OLM offers a rigorous curriculum that develops the mind, heart, and soul of each OLM student. OLM teachers- the majority of whom hold advanced degrees- promote intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Nearly 80 percent of OLM graduates continue on to Catholic or Independent High Schools, with the majority testing into honors programs. Many OLM graduates continually rank at the top of their classes at schools such as St. Mary Academy Bay View, Bishop Hendricken, LaSalle Academy, and The Prout School.Enriching Faith LifeWith its principal mission of forming the future saints and scholars of the Church and the world, OLM students receive a rich education in the Catholic Faith with daily classroom instruction in theology, weekly celebration of Holy Mass, regular reception of the Sacrament of Penance, and preparation for First Holy Communion as well as First Penance. With over 20 percent of OLM students voluntarily participating in some form of liturgical ministry OLM students receive a solid foundation in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. Students also participate in a variety of service opportunities throughout the year, with activities and projects that are all rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Developing the Whole ChildOLM students receive enrichment throughout the week, through classes in technology, music, art, P.E., and Spanish. OLM middle schoolers have completed Spanish I before moving on to high school. With extracurricular offerings in the arts, athletics, leadership, spirituality, and service, every OLM student has the opportunity to further develop their whole person - mind, body, and spirit.Strong Community of FamiliesOLM honors the role of the family as each child's first and best teachers, and we support our families in fulfilling this sacred calling. We encourage family engagement in the life of the school through a variety of opportunities within the entire school and parish community. Our active Parent Teacher Group (PTG) reflects this philosophy, offering several social and fundraising opportunities throughout the year for families to gather together for fun, fellowship, and support of our school's mission. Practical benefits for families of OLM students include before and after-school care, parish tuition assistance, and bussing from local towns. Most of all, OLM School offers families the peace of mind that the Catholic faith and virtues they teach their children at home will be supported, encouraged, and developed by our school, our parish, and our community of families.

Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) is an OUTSTANDING school. Both of my children went to OLM for their entire elementary school education. It helped develop strong morals in them. It also prepared them very well for an honors/AP curriculum in high school and set them up for success in college as well. There are many great activities for the children to get involved with (volunteer, sports, music, and the arts, etc). The entire staff, from leadership to teachers and beyond, is spectacular. They truly care about the children. I cannot say enough great things about OLM. I think it is the best school in the state. If I had to do it over again, I would send my children there again.

I have three children at Our Lady of Mercy School. Two in lower grades and one in middle school. I am extremely happy my children are at OLM. The curriculum is challenging, the faculty is attentive and supportive, and I appreciate the Catholic foundation that my children are exposed to. They are all thriving and I know that they will be very well prepared for when the time comes for them to enter high school.

I want to share the experience that my Great Granddaughter has enjoyed by attending Our Lady of Mercy School in East Greenwich. She entered OLM this year in the third grade. Previously, she had attended a local Warwick public School. She is receiving a well-rounded education. She is, of course, taught the Basics ie, Reading, Writing, English, and Math but she is also reaching hands-on Technology, Language, Art, Music and she is learning at a rapid pace. This school offers personal development along with community activities that encourage and develop teamwork. My Great Granddaughter is challenged and having fun at the same time. A win-win for all. Her Teachers are proactive and personally take the initiative to identify issues that need attention and encourage growth in her education. She is challenged and supported. These Teachers simply put the child's education first. I am delighted that she is now being prepared for a happy, healthy, and productive future. Thank you Our Lady of Mercy and all the wonderful and caring Teachers and Faculty. Barbara Rossi.

I love OLM! We transferred our son from public school to OLM for grades 7/8. It was the best decision we made. From the moment we had our initial visit, we noticed a big difference in the kids. All the kids we saw in the hallway, even the little ones, had their heads up, gave eye contact, said hello to the principle and us. It's clear they instill these values in the kids. In the Covid Pandemic, the school has done an exceptional job handing things. Every person in that school is on the same page. They are all pitching in, going above and beyond, doing their part to make things run smoothly so the kids can attend school live each day. Every day I pull up to the school, I know I made the right choice and say a small prayer: "thank you for allowing me to send my son here. I'm grateful for the opportunity." While our previous school wasn't bad and they did what they could, I never felt this way. There is a difference. Thank you everyone at OLM for all you do!

OLM is the embodiment of academics, enrichment, and family. The teachers and administration are dedicated to ensuring the success of each student. The school is a great balance of academic and religious education. We like the fact that the school is not too large nor too small. The environment provides an opportunity for student growth. We love knowing our kids can attend this school through eighth grade. We wouldn't consider sending our children anywhere else!

Best regional school! OLM is a true community of families and faculty. We have sent all of our kids here for 8 years and look forward to many more. Teachers are caring, go above and beyond and keep structure for excelling in academics. Sports, robotics, mock trial, Science Olympiad and many more ways to be engaged!
