5 stars ... or 6 if that is possible! My son is entering his second year in the primary classroom and we have lived through the transition of ownership. We were ok with the school before, but now IT IS AWESOME!!! Great communication, teachers and director are easily accessible, my son loves going each day and he is learning like crazy. Not one complaint! If you're looking for true Montessori curriculum, schedule a tour and/or enroll now -- I have a feeling this place is going to fill up quickly!!

Montessori School of Clarkston is wonderful! MSOC is clean, very organized, fun, and is so unique in its method of educating the children. We send our two children there, our daughter is in the toddler program and our son is in the primary preschool. The entire staff is wonderful, easy to talk to, and caring! We initially had reservations about sending our 18 month old daughter there as I wondered if she was too young but it has been the best decision. She is now 21 months old and already knows all her ABC's, the phonetic sound of each letter, and has great gross and fine motor skills for her age. MSOC also recognized her readiness for potty training and have worked with us during the transition. She is now in underwear and is telling us when she needs to go! They send home a "progress report" everyday so we know what she worked on, what she had for snack, potty times, etc. My son is 3.5 and is already sounding out words and beginning to write. He has definitely developed an interest for challenging work. Both kids love school and always come home happy! I highly recommend this school, 5 star!

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to share our experience. As parents, my wife and I were leery about setting up a tour based on some of the comments and negative feedback written in past years. It was important to us however, to find a traditional Montessori school in the area, and with limited options available, we set up a tour. From the moment we set foot on the property, we were overwhelmed with the high tech security, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff! We have been at this school for 6 months now and could not be happier. Our daughter is in the toddler program. The teachers communicate regularly with us regarding her progress and we have seen a DRASTIC change in her. She is an independent person now. Academically she has exceeded our expectations as well. It is beyond our imagination how much she has learned not even being 2 yet. Her class right now is around 10 students with 3 teachers. We have been very pleased overall! As a parent, it was important for me to see my child's happiness and reactions to certain events. It is worth the drive we have to make everyday, because the school is not in our area. She loves it. I would recommend this school to anyone!
