I have had my only child at Oakland Christian School for one year now. We have noticed a huge difference in him since he started. We were previous public school parents looking for something different in this very scary world we live in. My son within the first week had a compete change in attitude and a different outlook on life. OCS does an amazing job growing children in all aspects of life. The academics are excellent and the teaching staff and administrators are top-notch. We could not be happier with our first year.

Oakland Christian has been a great all around school for my daughter. We decided to try a new school for the last 3 years of high school. I wish we would have found the school sooner. My daughter has adapted better than I was hoping she would. Her GPA has improved dramatically, and her attitude toward school is night & day. She's more motivated than ever, with a positivity that wasn't seen before. The staff has been great and very easy to communicate/work with. There are pro's and cons in everything; however, the "cons" of Oakland Christian are not even worth mentioning due to the overall greatness the school has been for my daughter.

Oakland Christian School has been, and continues to be, a wonderful experience for our family! When our daughter started going there in 2nd grade we immediately felt like part of a family. The teachers, administration, and staff are one and all exceptional. You can tell through their words and actions that they truly care for the whole family, and put God to the forefront. Our daughter has never wanted to go to any other school since her first day at OCS!

My daughter has really enjoyed her three years of school here. We are very pleased with the teachers and their academia. Last year several students scored 100% on the SAT math and many students ranked very high in science and robotics. The children seem happy here. The school has nice sports offerings and clubs that keep students and families connected socially. My daughter has made friends with some really nice kids and we have really enjoyed how lovely the families are to have taken her on vacations up north and even to Dallas TX! We are grateful that our daughter writes and receives letters of encouragement from her Christian friends about following Christ.

This is our daughter`s 2nd year at Oakland Christian and currently her freshmen year. It has been a great transition for her with caring and responsive teachers, a welcoming environment, and Christ-centered rigorous academics with opportunities for sports, music, and arts.

Our child has been at OCS for 4 years. It is reassuring to know that our kids will grow and learn in a Christ-centered environment. All the staff is kind, compassionate, and understanding! The school and staff are fantastic at communicating! That was very important to us as parents. The Spanish immersion program is nothing but amazing! Our child comes home excited to tell us all the new things she has learned! OCS does a great job at working with the children`s strengths, from the Arts, and STEM to sports for all ages. We feel blessed to have found such a great school for our children to thrive in!

We started at OCS three years ago when the world was a very uncertain place. Our children have been allowed to grow in their faith, be challenged by academics, and have been taught by some of the most caring teachers. They truly go above & beyond to meet the student's needs. OCS has many opportunities to make families feel welcome & involved. The sense of community is priceless. God truly blessed us when he led us to OCS the elementary, middle school,, and high school are top-notch.

My two daughters have been at OCS since kindergarten and they are now entering the second and fourth grades! We have been so pleased with our OCS experience! The Spanish Immersion program is an amazing opportunity for our girls to be immersed in the Spanish language. We do not speak Spanish in our home (minus a little bit of Spanish that I had in high school), but we have enjoyed our daughters becoming well-versed in the language. They are developing a native-sounding speaking ability and are able to read, write, and converse in Spanish at such young ages! In addition, all of the special teachers are AMAZING! They love what they do and are helping our girls thrive with their creative sides: art, tech (STEM), music, PE, and library. Lastly, we love the families of OCS. Everyone is so kind and we could not be in a better school! If you have not checked it out, you should!

OCS has been such a blessing to our family. Three years ago our daughter began Preschool at OCS, at that time we had only intended to stay for two years. Within a few short months, we knew that OCS is where we wanted our children to be for good. OCS is special in what it offers, Christian teaching, high academic standards, amazing teachers, and a welcoming community like no other. We are thankful God led us to OCS and look forward to many more years there!

After bringing my 2 children to OCS in 2020, we quickly noticed the difference in our children and their school experience. No longer just a number they have been able to regain everything plus what they lost when their education stagnated. From the teachers to the admin, OCS has attention to detail and an eye for delivering more than you expect. The smaller classroom size alone makes OCS well worth consideration and we highly recommend it!

My two kids have been attending OCS for 13 years (so far) starting in pre-school and now in high school. The focus here REALLY is Christ-centered education. I believe the leadership, staff, and teachers care about the students - both their academic success and long-term spiritual growth. They go out of their way to help the students work through their challenges, and actively pray for them. The Dean and Principal are outstanding in my opinion and I have high respect for how they handle many different situations. The families are also great and very supportive of each other; we have made many lifelong friends. OCS is where I think our kids will get the best foundation available to prepare them for what lies ahead - not just college/career, but whatever the world throws at them. I cannot over-emphasize the value of God's leading when it comes to making decisions for our kids. It's very comforting to know that even as we pray over them at home, the OCS board and staff are also praying about how to lead them and every decision is sought through Godly wisdom - not just profitability, high academic standards, political correctness, etc. We are so thankful for OCS and for the financial blessing that we can send them there. It's a sacrifice but I think it's worth every penny.

We have been a family at Oakland Christian School for 8 years. OCS offers many programs for a school it's size. Students can choose from fine arts, choir, drama, band, orchestra, and many sports. The school meets the needs of students who struggle and challenges those who desire AP classes, dual enrollment and a college prep diploma. OCS was just included in a select group of only 16 schools in Michigan that offer the AP Capstone Diploma beginning with the class of 2020. Spiritual Life is a key component of all aspects of the school. The teachers are incredibly dedicated to the students.

We have 3 children who attend OCS and are very pleased with their education! The EEC (preschool) is phenomenal! Because of our wonderful experience with the EEC we have continued with the elementary school as well. We feel our children are safe, challenged educationally and spiritually, and are in a loving environment! We highly recommend OCS starting with the EEC!

Had 3 kids at Oakland Christian. Last one graduates this year. Staff & administration truly work to keep Christ at the center of everything. The school offers lots of ways students can use all kinds of gifts, excel and discover who they are -- preparatory school academics, competitive athletics, accomplished music & art programs, ministry leadership opportunities and more. Graduates from the school have gone on to serve as mayor, become professional hockey & soccer players, run ministries, and enter into fulfilling careers in teaching, actuarial science, robotics, aerospace, all kinds of things -- while serving Jesus wherever they are.

When we were deciding where to send our four children we visited every school in the area. That was 4 years ago. We have fallen in love with the caring, compassionate and highly skilled staff. I recommend anyone considering private education just take a tour and see what it's all about.

My three kids have been at Oakland Christian School since 2009, and I'm thankful for the nurturing, Christ-centered environment as well as the rigorous academic programming. OCS is definitely a gem among the many private school offerings in the Oakland County area especially during a time when traditional values are constantly being compromised. I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else.
