My child has been happy, thriving, all a mother can ask for. The support and nurturing of students are clear. Students speak with pride and excitement! My child is developing confidence and deeper ownership of his learning. Students are guided to feel like LWA is THEIR school. It is very special. The students are invested and they care, about themselves, and each other. We transferred to LWA after a rough patch at our public school. All children deserve to feel content and at peace and supported to learn. We have found this at LWA; where the bully-free zone is not just a sign.

As a teacher of 15 years, I am so happy to call LWA my work home. I have been in this field my entire career and I am thrilled to be a part of this team. I love the supportive atmosphere, the creativity and the student agency. The curriculum is engaging and full of choice. The children in the lower school are genuinely happy to be at school every day. The teachers are passionate and deeply care about their students.

My name is Nancy Baron and I am a fourth grade teacher at Lawrence Woodmere Academy. What attracts me most as a teacher at LWA is the camaraderie amongst the students, faculty, and administration. In part, the favorable student-to teacher ratio encourages this dynamic, as well as the numerous workshops and assemblies that bring the school community together. I have noticed that the philosophy of the school encourages self-exploration and individual excellence. One of my favorite annual events at LWA is International Day; a six week course of study of a country. It incorporates every concept of creative expression and academic learning. I can`t say enough about this great school.
