My son has grown so much this year! It is his second year at Lyman and I am impressed with the stories he shares each night at dinner! Last week, while traveling on spring break, he was able to share all sorts of information about the rainforest with his cousins! His basic academic skills have blossomed and he is able to navigate social situations with confidence-all proving that a curriculum that focuses on the whole child is successful. The teachers know each child as an individual and are extremely talented at meeting each student's needs. They are knowledgeable and have high expectations but are warm and nurturing as well. The parents of the students are also amazing. I have made some of my best friends here. We are so happy with the progress that our son has made and love the Lyman community.

I feel lucky to have found Lman for myself and my daughter after the closing of our beloved k-8 school. Not only is Lman an international school but it strives to grow in inclusivity and diversity, which is important to me as a mom and educator. Besides extremely dedicated teachers and an academic rigorous (but fun) curriculum, my daughter LOVES the rooftop playground for recess, swim class and swim team, the arts, Lman Main Stage productions, athletics and the music program. In a very short amount of time they turned my daughter into a confident reader, writer, scientist, swimmer and performer in theatre and band! Must also say...the food is amazing!

My daughter transferred to Lman this year as a 4th grader. She could not be more happy in her new setting! She looks forward to school each day, and is always excited to talk about what she did and what she is learning. She quickly made new friends, as the children were warm and welcoming. The faculty and staff are wonderful and you can see how much they really care for their students. Lman also offers a wide variety of after school activities that my daughter has found to enjoy! We love our new school and community!

My daughter is in her second year at Leman and absolutely loves it. She is so excited to see her teachers and friends every morning. Leman has all of the positive aspects of private school in the city without a lot of the negative ones. It is very diverse and made of lots of loving families. Not only has my daughter made lifelong friends, but I have also made so many wonderful friends. My favorite things about Leman are the community feel, the intelligent but loving teachers, the swimming classes in the building, the amazing lunches, and the IB program including emphasis on language. We are staying until 12th grade!

We have been thrilled to have our children at Leman where they started this September. Both are thriving socially. They have made many new friends who are diverse and interesting people that seem engaged in learning and in the surrounding world. While many private schools seem like bubbles of privilege, Leman has an authentic approach to learning that feels cohesive and welcoming to all. The teachers and administration seem totally engaged in a collective vision of teaching the whole child (and not just one type of child). My kids are very different from each other, and both feel supported, challenged, and fully engaged in the academics. They are also enjoying a rich curriculum that includes foreign language, swimming, musical instrument instruction, and more. The facilities are new and beautiful, and even the lunch program is something that my kids talk about at the end of the day. They look forward to going to school everyday, and I only wish my own educational experiences were this meaningful, rich, and inspired!

Leman is a fantastic school. My two daughters joined this year, and we have been immediately impressed by the high quality of the teachers and administration, the challenging academics, the constant communication, and the obvious care/attention to detail across the board. My children love going to school and come home each day with lots of excitement about everything from their new friends, adored teachers, even the great lunches. It is so obvious after just a couple of months that the education they will get at Leman will prepare them so well for whatever they choose. The school cares about the whole child, and looks to ensure that each student benefits from the program. The community of families also feels very strong and tight, but also welcoming to newcomers. And there is actual diversity at the school which feels organic and embraced (not forced like at many other schools we looked at). We love Leman as we knew we would after visiting it and going through the admissions process last year.
