Killian Hill Christian School

Killian Hill has been great for my family. The school size is not huge, but offered my children many opportunities to participate in theater, debate, soccer, basketball, cross country, quiz bowl, band, choir, instrument lessons and a variety of math competitions. My high school children have been able to take AP and duel enrollment classes to put them on an accelerated track in college. However, the difference between KHCS and a "prep" school is the emphasis on exceling for God's glory and not your own. They are learning how to be servant-leaders through the examples of amazing teachers. This makes the school an eternal investment for our family.

We have had a wonderful experience at Killian Hill Christian School. All 4 of my children have attended Killian Hill since kindergarten. The school is large enough to have the experience of many teachers helping my children to learn and develop, and yet small enough that a few teachers have been able to teach all 4 of them. This has helped us to form very meaningful and trusting bonds with the teachers. When partnering with a school, it was important to me to know that each teacher would look at my children individually and see both their strengths and weaknesses to help them grow spiritually, socially, and academically. I feel like we have found that balance at KHCS. They love school, and they are doing great! I am forever grateful for the attention and care that has been poured into each one of my children.

Twenty-six years ago, our family moved to the Atlanta area when my husband transitioned into a corporate job after retiring from the military. As a child I had the privilege of attending private Christian schools, and we as a family recognized the importance of a God-centered environment for our own children. Knowing we could move anywhere in the metro area because of my husband's job location downtown, we settled on being near Killian Hill Christian school after interviewing in schools all over Atlanta. The moment we stepped into the halls of KHCS and spoke with the administration and teachers, we recognized the excellence evident in the facilities, academic achievement, and godly atmosphere. At the time my children were in 9th grade, 7th grade, and I had a three-year-old at home, so the thought of me teaching at Killian Hill was not in the forefront of our minds. Twenty-seven years later, all three of our children have graduated from KHCS, all three college graduates, one having a doctorate and one with an advanced degree. Much more than that, however, all three of our children are in church and have a thriving relationship with God. God has graciously allowed me (the mom) to teach at Killian Hill for twenty-four years. I pray we as a family have "paid it forward" because of how positively Killian Hill impacted our own family. We couldn't be more satisfied with Killian Hill's investment into our children's lives and pray that God will have His hand of blessing on this school for many more years.

We have three children currently enrolled in the elementary school at Killian Hill. We have been very impressed with the teachers, Biblical worldview, and level of academics here at the school. The teachers truly care about each individual student and strive to help them succeed academically and socially. Our daughter has been very involved in the elementary music and Fine Arts program and we are very appreciative to the school for giving her this opportunity at such a young age. If you are looking for a school that will give your child a well-rounded and Biblical education, I highly recommend Killian Hill.

What a blessing this school is! It is a school that is filled with faculty and staff that love and encourage all students to not only grow in their academics but also in their walk with the Lord. Another great thing about Killian is their sports programs. Killian offers volleyball, soccer, basketball, and more! Coaches invest their time in these athletes because they want to see them succeed. Killian Hill Christian School is such a blessing!

We are so grateful for KHCS! Our four children - two are graduates of KHCS currently earning their bachelor of science degrees and two are in secondary school at KHCS. We are thankful that KHCS partners with us for the education of our children. The administration and teachers are approachable on the elementary and the secondary levels and they care for their students. Because of the influence of KHCS not only were our two college children well-prepared for college academic work, but they were also well-prepared to meet deadlines, lead student organizations, make friendships with classmates from all over the world, and to continue in their Christian walk.

Social distance in full force due to COVID-19, many are in panic mode clearing shelves of literally everything in site now that they have cleaned the shelves of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. It is reassuring to see how prepared the school is to move the students to digital learning. Instructions were clear, and there was regular communication to the student body and parents. It is in troubled times like this that you learn whether a school is bad, good or excellent by how it will respond. KHCS passed with flying colors and as a parent, I am grateful to the dedicated staff who always have my child's best interest in mind. Thank you!!!

Our daughter is in her second year at KHCS (high school) and absolutely loves it. Prior to Killian Hill, she never looked forward to school and was generally miserable. She has openly expressed how happy she is there, how much she loves the staff, and how she honestly looks forward to being there each day. What an amazing difference they have made in her life! She has developed friendships with students and staff that I don't believe would have happened at the public school. As parents, we have had nothing but positive experiences with KHCS. If you are looking for a small class environment that offers sincere caring for your child, please go take a tour. You won't regret it.

I have had 3 children graduate from Killian Hill. They received an outstanding education--college was easy after attending Killian Hill. We loved all the opportunities for different activities--from drama (competing on a national level),sports, choirs, discipleship. They truly wanted them to be a complete person. I think the Biblical worldview emphasis was evident through every grade and every subject. They were challenged to think things through and not be swayed by anyone else. It is a unique place.

I knew Killian Hill was where God wanted us to place our Daughter from the first day we visited. Parents stopped us in the halls on this first visit to tell us what a good school it was and to express how their kids loved it. We were also impressed with it Fundamental Christian beliefs, well rounded curriculum, and high academic standards. Our daughter has continued to do well academically and loves school. I am happy to say we are now one of those parents who would stop visitor in the hall to give a testimonial on the school, and to encourage friends and those we hear of who are searching for a school to try Killian Hill Christian School.
