Kenmare High School

Kenmare is located in Jersey City, New Jersey and is an alternative high school.
We offer young women, ages 17-30, who have dropped out of the school system, a second or third or fourth chance to earn a high school diploma.
We recognize the individual gifts and talents of each woman.
Our professional and dedicated faculty, in partnership with local social service, business and health institutions, is committed to each woman's academic growth and attainment of job skills.
We challenge them to develop skills that will assist them in raising their children and empowering themselves.
We strive to help them realize their own self worth and develop a genuine respect for others.
As a program of the York Street Project, Kenmare strives to give women the educational support needed to move forward with their lives by assisting them in attaining the skills they need to become independent and self-sustaining learners and earners.
