School Notes

  • What is the Heart of ICHS?
  • Our students come from 19 countries in addition to our domestic students. Because we have a long history of educating international students we have the experience necessary to supportthe acquisition of English, while at the same time challenging students with strong academics. ICSH offers 6 university classes for university credit, ranging from British Literature to Calculus. Because ICHS is a smaller school, we can tailor your program to fit your ability. In addition, students can learn and to play a sport that they have never played before. Our mission, which is central to our school culture, ensures a family-like community of learners who support and care for one another. This is so important for students who are so far from home. In addition, we are committed to service in the larger community having service projects in Philadelphia, New York City, Belize, Jamaica, Mexico, Bolivia, and Liberia. Service projects to these places involve feeding the homeless, creating shelter for women and children, offering hope through education and training to children and ongoing financial support to orphanages and schools in multiple locations and countries.

I am so grateful to have graduated from ICHS. A truly loving community. I have learned how community is important through every professor that I had the privilege to take a class with at ICHS. God created us because He desires and values our relationship with him. Through Him, and through our relationship with those around us unconditional love embrace paves the way for healing. ICHS is very example of a truly loving community where community is ready to embrace you and rejoice when they see the slightest growth in you! The love and excitement of my Professors has truly compelled me to grow Spiritually as well as academically. Choose to join a loving community like ICHS who prepares you to excel in everything that you do and also help you grow spiritually in knowing your true identity in Christ Jesus!!!! ~ Ruth Reta. ICHS has definitely helped shape me into the person I am today. Every teacher I had would take the time to know who I was as a person and worked with me to make sure that I understood the work I was doing. I really cannot thank my teachers enough for all the hard work I know they put in. If you're looking for a high school to place your child in, you will not regret taking them here. This place is affordable and the staff always has the student's best interest in mind.

As a small, private Christian high school, the resources and opportunities ICHS provides are incredible. The faculty strives to help each student to build a solid foundation in academics and in the faith of Jesus Christ, while providing a diverse, loving learning environment for students to communicate and grow. I truly enjoyed my three years at ICHS and felt very lucky to have met so many wonderful teachers and mentors there. I highly recommend anyone to visit and attend this school.

I am a retired world language teacher with the School District of Philadelphia and a Ph. D. candidate in servant leadership from Capital Graduate School & Lancaster Bible College. I am seeking a teaching position to serve either in French, Latin, or Bible.
