- Since 1992 The Educational Development Center`s Therapeutic Day School, under the management of GEARA Group Inc., has provided educational alternatives for emotionally and or socially challenged students, students with learning disabilities and those coping with autism. Its programmatic goal is to produce individuals that are capable of functioning in today`s society as independently and productively as their potential permits. Serving ages five to twenty-two, grades K through 12, EDC is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education. EDC`s programs are staffed with a behavioral intervention team, as well as individual and group therapist to aid students.
