My daughters started going to the French American School at the ages of 3 and 4 in 2018. It has been an amazing experience seeing them grow in a bilingual and diverse community. At the time they had no knowledge of French. The transition has been amazing to witness. Teachers and staff at FASP are dedicated, and nurturing yet firm. The curriculum is very balanced. As an educator myself I value the stimulating and diverse education FASP offers. We settled in the Princeton area mainly because of FASP. We very much appreciate the diversity we see at FASP in terms of nationalities as well as a wide spectrum of economic and cultural backgrounds. The staff and teachers are extremely welcoming. This is an amazingly inclusive community and we are very pleased with our decision. The school has a vigorous yet fun and nurturing curriculum in both French and English.

I cannot express enough how incredibly impressed I am with FASP. As a parent who has had two kids in FASP now for the past 5 years, I should say I am thrilled to have found a school that not only prioritizes academic excellence but also fosters a truly multicultural and bilingual environment. The faculty and staff are exceptionally qualified, passionate, and dedicated to their craft. They create an ideal atmosphere for learning and personal growth.FASP offers a truly immersive experience, where students are exposed to both languages throughout their academic journey. The bilingual curriculum is thoughtfully designed, incorporating language instruction, literature, and cultural activities, that challenge and engage students at every level. My children have not only become fluent in both languages but have also developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. If you are envisioning your kids exploring the world and maybe continuing their education outside of the US, FASP is the right choice. It has a French curriculum and covers English thoroughly with the percentage of English curriculum expanding as the kids advance from elementary to middle school. So if you think of your kids continuing their education either halfway or at anytime after middle school, it will be an easy and smooth transition. FASP is not about talking about diversity and inclusion it truly translates them into realityThe school campus is beautiful and enormous and is well kept. It is allowing the developing and creating of ideas for the kids. The classrooms are spacious, well-equipped, and designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. The library boasts an impressive collection of books in both languages. They encourage students to take home books and encourage the culture of reading. We do not speak French at home, but the girls are fluent in French and one of my daughters speaks it with a native French accent to the point that we receive comments from native-speaking French parents and teachers that if they didn`t know we do not speak French they could not have guessed. I must also highlight the school's commitment to extracurricular activities. The students participate in national and international competitions and receive medals and honors. The school holds preschool to middle school. I have spoken to many parents and friends who had older kids who left the school after middle school and they were extremely happy with how FASP prepared them for high school both academically and culturally to blend with other students in high school. What truly sets FASP apart is its nurturing and inclusive community. The school embraces diversity and actively promotes a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding. The strong sense of belonging and support among students, teachers, and parents is truly remarkable. We found a large group of friends with whom we hang out and enjoy time spending. I wholeheartedly recommend FASP to any parent seeking a world-class bilingual education for their children. This exceptional institution not only excels in providing an outstanding academic foundation but also cultivates global citizens with a deep appreciation for language, culture, and diversity. My children's experience at FASP has been nothing short of transformative, and I am immensely grateful for the remarkable education they receive every day. If you are looking for a school for your loved one, give FASP a shot. You can thank me later

We are so thrilled with our school. We have been with FASP for 3 years and now have both children attending (preschool and kindergarten). What drew us to the school was a bilingual education, while the deciding factor was the commitment to teaching a second language and a whole new way to understand the world. Language is a powerful tool for opening up a child's world and the patient, kind, creative, brilliant teachers and administrators of FASP are masters of making the learning environment a perfect fit for each child. We have families worldwide, speaking countless languages at home and bringing such a rich culture to the school community. In our short three years with the school, each year has introduced new programs and learning spaces for the children, from the new playground to the indoor climbing wall, to the culinary arts room, and the most recent addition of a STEM classroom, the administrative team, and teachers are always looking for new ways to improve and evolve the school. Finally what we have found to be so special is the true sense of community building among all FASP families - from school-wide picnics to winter festivals and Spring Flings for the parents, our school is a place of learning, community, and belonging. Join FASP and open a world of opportunity for your entire family.

Our family does not speak any language but English. However, you always want better for your children and there is plenty of literature to support that early bilingual education creates more resilient children who are more flexible and able to respond to challenges with less stress. Additionally, there is also literature to support that if you are considering private education that the most influential time is K to 3rd grade. This school is incredibly culturally diverse and supportive, and I think that this will allow my children to be more culturally sensitive and better world citizens. Perhaps more importantly, my children love this school. In the kindergarten class my youngest "thinks" that he plays all day because learning objectives are inserted through active play and activities. The kids are constantly separated into groups so that they can have smaller group sizes and also so that lessons can be tailored to the educational level of each child. Initially, my kindergartner was not onboard to learn another language - it seemed like too much work to him, and yet now I see him unconsciously occasionally speaking French in counting and greeting. I also love that they have a cooking project every month where all of the kids get exposed to cooking to celebrate the kids that had birthdays that month. My son loves cooking and looks forward to that experience. Additionally, they had a week where every day the kids were offered different colors of foods to try and expose them to different foods (for example on a yellow day they had lemons, yellow bell peppers, etc). They are encouraged to take a bite of each food and their teachers send you pictures of some of their more hilarious responses and votes of thumbs up or down. I love this class and the parents are all involved in a group chat.

FASP creates a fantastic, feel-good, yet academically excellent, environment for our 2 children in PS and K. More than learning a foreign language, the curriculum is also about blending cultures and putting things in perspective. The school is small so I feel my children are getting the tailored education I wish I had at their age to learn as fast as they will absorb but also more attention where needed. Communication with teachers is really easy and they always make themselves available which was particularly reassuring during COVID. It is also great to experience the diversity of the vibrant community created around the school. Seeing the acceleration of my kids' development since they started at FASP makes me feel like this was the right decision for our family. Carry on FASP!

We are so happy at our school. Our children have both been at FASP since preschool, and are completely fluent (speaking, reading, and writing) in French. But, we get much more than just a bilingual education. I love that our school is very international - there are people from all over the world represented in our student body. The curriculum teaches beyond our little town and even our country - I feel our children are getting an education in how to live in a global society. The teachers are excellent, experienced, and kind. There are high-quality STEM classes, as well as art and music too. If you take the best of the American education system and the best of the French education system (and leave the rest out), combine them, you get the French American School of Princeton!
