Fredericksburg Christian School

Fredericksburg Christian Schools (FCS) is an evangelical, non-denominational school, dedicated to a strong academic program with Christian character and Biblical truths integrated into every area in order that students develop a lifelong Christian worldview. FCS has two campuses, the Upper School (grades 6th-12th) and the Lower School (grades PK3-5th) which are both located in Spotsylvania County. The NEW Lower School building opened its doors for the 2020-2021 school year, which brought both schools on to one campus.
For over four decades, FCS has produced skilled, intelligent, honest, sensitive leaders.
God has placed in our hands the tools of excellent college-preparatory academics: instructors and mentors who are both capable and dedicated, an environment from which to unashamedly and powerfully proclaim the Truth, facilities that enable us to offer outstanding educational, fine arts, and athletic opportunities, and a strong commitment to growing world-class, culture-changing leaders.

Our children have been attending Fredericksburg Christian School (FCS) for many years and we consider it a blessing! FCS provides a strong academic, Christ-centered education. As well as the teachers (and all the staff) to be very caring and who take the time to know your student. We have found it to be a very positive environment for our children.

FCS has been wonderful at partnering with me to choose the best ways to educate my children. They are each very different and require different learning styles. They have been willing to work with me on my child that has different needs and he has thrived. My littles love to get out of the car every day to go see their teachers and friends. Not once, have I heard them complain about their teachers. In fact, they love them! They are doing very well this year and growing spiritually. I can tell how much they're cared for, challenged, loved, and prayed over each day. There is NOtHING better than that!

My granddaughters have attended Fredericksburg Christian School (FCS) since they were three. For ten years we have watched with amazement the girls` development. FCS working alongside our family pours into each of the girls based on their strengths and weaknesses. The school has worked diligently to connect, to love, to teach, and to reflect Who Jesus is in preparation for the challenges and opportunities in life. I cannot emphasize what a solid and rounded curriculum the school offers and the profound positive effect that the girls have enjoyed as a result of the teachers, administrators, and staff. They love their school. We are so very blessed to have access to this incredible resource here in Fredericksburg.

FCS has been a great fit for my daughters. They started with FCS in preschool and are now in middle school. The academics have been challenging but appropriate. I appreciate the compassion the teachers show for each student. They truly are loved by the faculty and administration. FCS really is a family.

All four of my children have gone to FCS since they were in Preschool so we have been at FCS for the last 8 years. We have always been extremely pleased with the teachers and the academics at FCS. There is a strong support system and the teachers and administration really care about the students. LOVE FCS!

We love FCS! We started looking at schools for Kindergarten a couple of years out, and knew after visiting FCS that it was the place for us. We were particularly impressed with the way teachers and staff maintained control of the classroom while also providing a warm, friendly, and fun environment for learning. We enrolled our son in Kindergarten and have been with the school ever since. FCS provides a solid academic program built on a firm biblical worldview, and the dedicated, highly-qualified faculty and staff are committed to Christian education. While it is large enough to offer a wide variety of classes and activities, FCS is small enough that teachers and coaches know their students individually, and every student is encouraged to grow academically, physically, and spiritually.Over the years, we have occasionally heard the criticism that Christian school shelters kids from the "real world," but I would counter that one of the main reasons we chose FCS is to help equip our son to make an positive impact on the world as a godly man. As he heads into his junior year, we are confident FCS has helped to prepare him to meet the challenges of the world with conviction and compassion.

My daughter has gone to Fredericksburg Christian since preschool. She was very shy and was difficult to get her to come out of her shell. A year ago she was the flower girl for a wedding with a 150 people. My daughter threw flowers in the air while walking down the aisle and was a joy. She stood infront of everyone didn't move and followed instructions from the minister. People couldn't believe the difference in our daughter that wouldn't come out from behind our legs now is an outgoing 2nd grader. Fredericksburg Christian has also exceeded our expectations in our daughter's learning. I speak to other parents and our daughter is doing more spelling, reading, math, phonetics and sentence structure than her friends and family members of the same age. WE love the school and will continue to send her there through high school.

We love FCS! This is our 4th year at the school. We have a 3rd grader and a Pre-K 4 student. Everyone from the administration to the bus drivers has the heart of every student as their number one priority. In addition to an amazing education, starting in Pre-K3, they teach the importance of manners, obedience and self-control. They continue these lessons throughout the child's education. I love sending my children to a school where the teachers genuinely care about them! There is no other school in the area quite like FCS!

Our child has been at FCS for 13 years (starting in Pre-K), and it has been such a blessing to partner with such a loving and dedicated faculty, staff and administration. It makes our jobs as parents so much easier when there is consistency with the teaching that they are receiving at school and what we are trying to accomplish at home. The quality of our educational experience has been excellent, as well as high quality athletics and social/ministry opportunities. We are confident that our child will be more than prepared for the next level of education as well as adulthood, and a large part of the credit belongs to FCS.
