The purpose of Divine Savior Lutheran School is to assist Christian parents in the Christ centered education of their children.
We believe that the most important things our children learn are those things which will affect their eternal life.
Therefore, our school teaches all subjects in light of God's word.
First of all, in addition to the other subjects, students will have a class in which they study God's Word.
All other subjects are taught in light of God's Word.
For instance, if while studying any subject we come to an example of something which is obviously not in accord with God's word, we will point this out as part of our lesson.
We use the same standardized tests used by other schools across the nation.
These tests are given in the third, fifth, and seventh grades.
In addition, at the beginning and end of each year reading tests are given to all second through eighth graders and math tests are given to all third through eighth graders.
These tests are some of the tools we use to help measure academic growth and assess any special needs that our students may have.
