- Cornerstone provides program and tuition options that meet families` needs from 9-1 we also offer early drop-off beginning at 8:00 am and after-care until 5:00 pm. All of our programs follow the New Jersey Teaching & Learning Expectations for Preschools. We offer a play-based curriculum that inspires children to become lifelong learners using the Creative Curriculum.
- Children learn about themselves and the world around them through interactions with peers and adults. At Cornerstone, children are encouraged to pursue their own interests while introducing new concepts and materials using the Creative Curriculum.
- The classroom community is a doorway to the globalcommunity as children gain experience with other cultures and traditions through stories, songs, and cooperative activities.
- Cornerstone is a place where all families are respected, and the breadth of our collective experience is honored. Cornerstone teachers are skilled in using a play-based, developmentally appropriate approach to early education. Classrooms and materials are invitations to play, as play is how children learn.
- Programs include:
- Foundations - 2 1/2 & 3 years old. Children must be two and a half years old by September 1st. The Foundations class is perfect for children just starting school. A play-based curriculum lets children explore various interest areas, including art, literature, blocks, sand and water play, music, and dramatic play.
- Preschool - Children must be 3 years old by September 30th. The Preschool class is geared toward children who are ready for "a little more." Open-ended materials, walking field trips, and an interactive curriculum bring learning to life for inquisitive minds. Increasing language development and social skills are a focus in this class.
- Pre-K -Children must be four years old by September 30th. Our Pre-K class fosters student creativity, independence, and social development. This is accomplished through age-appropriate opportunities to practice self-reliance and self-regulation skills. The class day is structured to include activities geared toward independent learning and small and large group instruction. In Pre-K, we believe that a socially prepared student will flourish in kindergarten, benefiting from open-ended exploration, academic exposure, and positive social interactions.
