Our daughter started at Cornerstone Montessori when she was 3 years old and has been there for two years. She just loves going to school and I attest a lot of that to the love, respect, and nurturing she receives from her teachers. Young children become motivated life-long learners when they are able to connect with their teachers and feel safe in their environment. CMS has definitely accomplished this! Furthermore, our daughter has achieved most of the expectations of our school district's kindergarten curriculum and we have decided to continue her enrollment at CMS for kindergarten so that she can continue on her learning path. In addition to the warm and nurturing environment and excellent curriculum, the children enjoy Bike Day at the end of each month, playing in the snow (as long as they bring proper snow gear to school), at least two field trips during the year, and several celebrations, such as International Day, where families come in and teach others about their heritage. CMS does offer before- and after-school care for working parents like us and three 2-week summer sessions. These summer sessions are a great way to check out the school and see if it is right for your child, plus it provides continued learning for those already enrolled so that they don't lose any skills they''ve developed during the school year. I am so pleased with the learning experiences my daughter has enjoyed at CMS and I am sure you will be, too!

Our 5 year-old attended Cornerstone for two years and had an amazing experience. We were impressed with Jamie Lee's thoughtful and effective teaching methods. Our son was learning to read and write along with math, science and geography but he was having fun and developing a love of learning. Cornerstone also includes Spanish, gym, art and cooking in the weekly activities. We were so pleased to see him flourish at Cornerstone that we enrolled our 3 year-old son this past September. He is just thrilled to be at Cornerstone and is thriving as well. We think that parents should visit Cornerstone Montessori to see the great work Ms. Lee and her students are doing!

Our son started at Cornerstone when he was three and he is now in his third year. He has accomplished so much there - Ms. Lee and her staff encourage not only academic excellence, but the students also learn life and leadership skills. For example, our son learned to read with Ms. Lee and she now gives him the opportunity to research a topic and then share with the other children. It does wonders for his self-esteem and helps him retain even more information. Ms. Lee provides the students opportunities to excel in subjects where they are naturally talented, but also gently prods them to try subjects and projects that might be more difficult for them. She provides a well-rounded curriculum including geography (my son knows more than I do about world geography than I do), math, science, Spanish, cooking, and probably more. Each child moves along at his or her own pace and is allowed to try more difficult work when ready. We love it and can t wait for our younger son to start at Cornerstone.
