AIM has been a game-changer for our son. We weren't sure he'd do well in high school, let alone going to college. Now we're looking at colleges. He likes the sound of Lawrence Tech, and has an idea of what he might like to do next. Our son struggled in the normal middle school environment, and we didn't like the idea of sending him to a public high school to continue the issues. It was really noisy in the hallways, loud bell to switch classes, and not any time or help for him to settle down. There were lots of people, and he has some stuff going on that made him a target of typical middle school bullying. There were days in middle school that my son didn't want to go so bad he wouldn't get out of the car.The entire AIM school size may be 85 students now, and classes are really small - sometimes 6-8 students. They go at the speed that he needs to go - and that's a huge thing with him and math. My son gets to take a "Media Creation" class covering podcasts and twitch streaming, and is now going through Drivers Ed. His studies accommodate the fact he has a difficult time writing big essays and giving alternatives to demonstrate the material. The teachers have all - and I mean all - have been fantastic. Now my son is excited to go to school. Well, as excited as a sixteen year-old lets me see him be.AIM High is expensive, but they break up the tuition into 9 chunks which helps us spread it out. They also have some financial aid to reduce the cost if you need it. I would highly recommend applying for the financial aid to see if they can make it affordable for you. We should have enrolled him earlier in Middle School, but didn't because we didn't think we'd be able to afford it. Given what I know now, I should have tried anyways, and then decided. If you have a kiddo who needs a little help, smaller class sizes, or is just neurodivergent, this is a great place for him to grow. I can't recommend this place enough.

I am so proud to work at an amazing school like AHS. The staff is incredibly supportive of one another and always keeps students' best interests at heart. Our individualized accommodations and high expectations have transformed the lives of many students over the years. At AHS, we teach far more than just content—we instill values like hard work, resilience, empathy, and forgiveness. With a growth mindset, our students become the best versions of themselves. I am so thankful I took this job when it was just a small building with nine students. We have come so far, and I can't wait to see where the next 10 years take us! P.S. Funky Fridays are the best!

My son has been at AIM for almost 3 years. To say it revolutionized our lives is putting it mildly. He has blossomed into an amazing young man. He is doing well at school and has friends who love what he loves (trains, tornado sirens, and planes). I cannot stress what an amazing school this is for kids. Every teacher cares and looks to learn about the children and how best to help them. Without AIM, our life would not be where it is right now! I'm so glad we found it and thankful to Ms. Malek for convincing us to extend a summer camp into full-time education!

Aim High has been an amazing school for my child. I can't express how much of a difference the individual attention, the caring teachers, etc. have made in his life.

My son would have never graduated without Aim. They understand that each student is different and learns differently. They teach in a way that coincides with how each student learns.

My granddaughter (currently an 11th grader) is enrolled at Aim High School and has been attending since the 2nd half of 8th grade. This school, with its focus not only on education but on the social, academic, and learning needs of children, has had a drastic positive impact on her and our family. Not only will she graduate from high school, but she is already planning on attending college; she has also been working for the last 6 months. Without the support of this school and the staff, I'm not positive she would have made it past 8th grade in public schools. They also offer financial assistance to those in need, as we have been blessed to be recipients of. If you know of a child or anyone with a child struggling, please contact the school and watch it change that child's life for the better.
