Research comparing high-fidelity Montessori programs with supplemented Montessori programs has shown that after one year, students in the high-fidelity Montessori environment exhibited better working memory, planning, reading, and vocabulary skills and they displayed a better understanding of fairness and willingness to share. This change in statistical improvement is evident throughout research studying young children, into adolescence and adulthood.
