Whitefield Academy

Our 3 kids attended Whitefield for over 8 years, right up until we had to move out of state. All of them dreamed about graduating from the school they began at and we were so sad to leave. The kids were UNBELIEVABLY prepared for their entry into the new school and are already planning to come back to see their friends and teachers as soon as they can! Whitefield casts a compelling vision for what truly matters in education and raising the next generation of leaders with character, integrity, and confidence and has the teachers and administration to get the kids there. It's also an incredible community of people chasing after this vision in a life-giving way!

Whitefield Academy is a school and work environment where every person is valued, whether part-time, full-time, child, parent, office staff, teaching staff, or volunteer! What a breath of fresh air to work in a school that feels like a cohesive family and seeks to build the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.

We are so thankful we found Whitefield for our young kiddos! It is such a loving community. The classical model/curriculum is amazing. We are grateful our kids are learning from excellent teachers and also love that our kids are learning cursive and using pencils and not tablets in the young grades.

I am a teacher at Whitefield Academy, and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone out there looking for a Christ-centered school that will help their children grow into mature people! The office staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and on top of things at all times. The other teachers are welcoming, encouraging, and passionate about the students. I have never heard one of them say a single bad thing about any student, which is something I experienced in public school. And the students! Hard-working, respectful, and always a joy to be around. They make my day every time I see them.

Three of my adult children have graduated from Whitefield and my husband has taught at Whitefield for over 20 years. We have seen the fruit that his classical and Christian education has borne in our children and many others: the fruit of a virtuous life and a continued love for learning.

We have been at Whitefield Academy since 2018. We have loved our experience working with the teachers, faculty, and staff. We love how God is in everything that is done. We're truly blessed to have found this gem!

Whitefield Academy is a blessed place. I have taught here for 12 years. We continue to grow and become more and more a Christ-centered community of classical learning. It's a wonder and delight to behold God's purposes unfold. If you are looking for a safe and enriching environment for your child to grow and develop, to stir up your child's love of learning and desire for God, this is a good one to check out.

As a faculty member, I love teaching at Whitefield Academy because of the small class sizes! This aspect allows me to really get to know my students individually and helps me to prepare lesson plans to meet their needs and their academic levels. It has also been a joy and privilege to be able to join my teaching with my faith. Instead of having to separate the two, my math classroom can point my students to God and the wonders of His creation! As a parent, I love that each of my children is part of a small classroom. They are known and loved by their teachers - individually seen and taught, nurtured, and cared for. The Whitefield community feels like a family. We also enjoy the quality literature and rich curriculum our children are immersed in each day. Not only are they learning Scripture and hymns, but they are reading Great Books and classics, which have allowed them to dialogue with their grandparents and other adults who have also enjoyed these books from their childhood. They are digging deep foundations in math and writing. Not only are they in a school that strives for academic success, but our children are also in a school that seeks to shape and mold their character as well. In an unsettled culture and broken world, our children are having their foundations built on the One who is unchanging and forever Faithful!

We have absolutely loved our experience at Whitefield Academy. It is a phenomenal school where I can truly say they care about the well-being of every student. There is careful thought and intention behind every practice within the school. They go above and beyond to equip students with strong Christian principles while also providing an outstanding educational experience. We have been so impressed with Classical Christian Education and how well it prepares every student. This school has been an answer to prayer and a blessing to our family. I highly recommend it!

Whitefield Academy is truly a gem among schools. The faculty and staff lead students to grow academically and spiritually and the community is close-knit and supportive of one another. The classical curriculum is fantastic!

Whitefield Academy is, in our opinion, the best school in Kansas City. It is the only school that truly offers a Christian, classical education. Our oldest daughter has been here three years, and the amount that she has learned is astounding. The school focuses on teaching children HOW to learn and HOW to think rather than just teaching them WHAT to think. Our music and visual arts programs are phenomenal, and we just opened a new sculpture studio. The family atmosphere of the school is something that has made the experience even better. The seniors know the kindergartners, kids from different grades sit at lunch together, and a lot of parents volunteer on a daily basis.

I`m so thankful that my children have the opportunity to learn and grow in the learning community that is Whitefield. My girls have attended Whitefield since PreK and my husband and I are blown away by their academic and spiritual growth every year under the care and guidance of their fantastic teachers.

We have been at Whitefield for 7 years! My kids love it! They interact with kids from all the grade levels. They learn character vs all curriculum. The teachers love each child as their own, which as a mom is comforting. It is a smaller school (no more than 20 in a classroom), but is Pre-K - 12th. I've seen several occasions where a child is interested in a particular club and they meet with the Headmaster and get approval to start their club. They then gather friends & peers that want to join them & get a parent/teacher involved. It's learning about real life & working for your vision! People comment on how well behaved the children are, as well as, the quality of questions asked during field trips. Any time there is an issue, it is encouraged to be discussed and a solution obtained. In a parent's opinion, this is an excellent education option.

My daughter graduated from Whitefield in 2011 and now attends a top-50 national liberal arts college. The rigorous classical Christian education provided by Whitefield could not have prepared my daughter better for college - she was on the Dean's list for both semesters her freshman year.
