We just completed our first year at Sion for my daughter (kindergarten) and son (preschool). I've been thrilled with the experience all around! Both kids are thriving there in all the ways socially, emotionally, and as young learners. I've gotten a chance to volunteer at the school quite a bit, so have witnessed the great environment that staff and teachers help to create and you get the sense that they all enjoy being there and feel supported in their work. School administration has been great -- very approachable, available, and actively solicits parent input. (Kudos to Principal Patricia Gray not only does she provide great leadership, I'm pretty sure she knows every student by name!) I love the school values and their emphasis on encouraging students to be good citizens of the world. As a non-religious family, one important focus of the school is interfaith dialogue; though its primary focus is around the Catholic faith, students learn about all the major world religions and the common values that underpin them all. I think this is so great because the student body is quite diverse, not only when it comes to religious background, but also around race/ethnicity, economic background, etc. The thing I've enjoyed most about the school is the community they strive to build across students and families. The school has an active Parent Volunteer organization and schedules all types of in-school and out-of-school activities to give families a chance to connect with each other and the school. We've been so pleased with our Sion experience thus far and look forward to many more years in the Sion community!

I went to Sion in the early-mid '70s, from 6th grade through high school. The academics were superb, and have stood me well throughout my career. More importantly, the friendships I made were lifelong. I am forever grateful that my parents chose to send me to Sion.
