Victory Christian is a newer school that has the advantages of a smaller enrollment and class size. My child is in high school and they all know each other which creates an atmosphere of comradery and belonging. The administration is very transparent and is quick to jump in if there are any concerns. The teachers appear to care about the success of each child and take an individualized approach to the students. Since it is a smaller school the sports program has room to grow as enrollment continues to climb. The music department is fantastic.

My 11-year-old just started here this year and he really loves it. He had been homeschooled previously and was wanting to try out regular school. Since he has been there I can confidently say he is in good hands, he loves his teacher and classmates and he really enjoys going to school every day!

We chose VCA for our son not only for the smaller class sizes but also so that he could be surrounded by people of faith. We love how the Bible is woven into their assignments and different subjects. We are seeing his faith grow, and they handle it well when students have questions or don`t yet believe in God. He made some great friends his first year and now more in his 2nd year, and the staff and teachers are so warm and welcoming. My son recently said about his 4th-grade teacher, "She's the best teacher I've ever had. And the nicest." Now that`s a ringing endorsement! We`re thrilled to continue his education at this wonderful school.

A couple of years ago I wrote a review for VCA on this site. Since then my son has graduated and moved on to university. I wanted to let you know that post-VCA, I`ve gained a deeper appreciation for how good Victory Christian Academy really is. My son was academically thoroughly prepared for college and didn`t miss a beat -making it onto the Dean`s and President`s list after his first semester. Our heartfelt thanks to the teachers for investing in our son`s life - it`s evident. Again, I endorse VCA, and please be assured that your child will definitely be academic "...ready for the world".

The day I was in labor with my oldest, my pastor called my husband to see how everything was going. He then proceeded to ask, "Have you thought about what kind of education you will give your child?" My husband and I were stumped by the question, as the norm is to just enroll in the local public school. Being young (20, 25) and recently saved Christians, we had not even thought about it. When our children were school age, we put them in public school, and remembered our conversation with our pastor years before. For the first 2 years they were in K and 1st grades, it was less than great. Even in such an early stage of elementary school, our children were targeted because they listened to Christian music, dressed a bit more conservative, and because they didn`t participate in certain activities. The principal called me to the office because my children did not want to participate in Halloween. I responded to the principal by saying, "We do not participate in Halloween," and it was met with disdain, and I was told that I was teaching my children to defy authority. We believe God is the ultimate authority. As a family, we value the belief that God is first. As parents, we have an obligation of impressing God's word not only in our hearts but in our children's hearts. The Bible says, "Impress them (God's word) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:7 That became a charge on my husband and me. That's when we decided to homeschool, which went well for 3 years. But my heart was set on sending my three children to school with other kids who have the same like mind in Christ as we do. That is why we set our hearts on VCA. We are so thankful for VCA and that my kids feel surrounded by love, respect, and God's word.

In the middle of a pandemic, our kids are thriving better here than in the past years. I am beyond blown away from how God is using the teachers here.My kindergartener has been picking things up so quickly with his teacher. He has already learned his letters, writing skills, numbers, and carefully coloring. He has made many friends. During the last couple years in preschool and TK, he struggled to learn the basics, and I was really concerned. This is a big change! My third grader has absolutely loved his teacher, even on Zoom. He's now motivated to study at night and is doing well on his tests. I`m really glad to see the level of vocabulary and math is higher than at our public school. Even though he's been on Zoom, he already feels connected and just met two friends during a campus day. This is major for him! I can`t recommend VCA enough!

As parents, we view our children's education as our responsibility. Education is not simply the acquisition of knowledge or preparation for a career. Instead, education consists of character building and training in wisdom to fulfill God's purposes for us while responding to and living in this world. If our main purpose is to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever," then we cannot choose an education that denies or diminishes God's role in this world. Education is not neutral but is based on the worldviews presented in curriculum and its presentation. At VCA, we are confident that the teachers are giving credit and glory to God in every subject area consistent with the values that our children learn at church and at home. We chose to surround our children with role models not only in their teachers but in the families that make up the VCA community. In this environment, our children are not sheltered or removed from the world but are instead being prepared for what lies ahead. VCA has given us the opportunity to have them nurtured in their faith, training them to be "grounded in Christ and ready for the world," so they can use their God-given talents to be good and faithful servants in any environment.

VCA has been a huge blessing to our family and we are so thankful to God (first and foremost), the Board and staff that made this school possible. We love the family atmosphere and smaller community. The teachers really care about the kids as individuals and their education, and we love how everything is taught with a biblical worldview. They have done a fantastic job with distance learning and have more than risen to the challenge during a difficult season in our schools and nation. Most of all, the Board and staff pray regularly over and for these students. To know my child is being prayed for and cared about in that way, and they desire to come alongside her and encourage her walk with the Lord is huge and the most important. "Grounded in Christ, Ready for the World!" We are excited to see them grow and impact kids in our community!

I've been following the formation of this school since its predecessor RVCS closed. This is such a motivated and passionate group of families, staff, teachers and administrators. The board is so organized and on top of everything. We just started our kindergartener this year, which has been very non traditional given COVID-19 and wildfires/smoke days and evacuation orders. Throughout it all, I cannot express how wonderfully the school has responded to each and every obstacle. You cannot phase this school! They have been incredibly transparent, communicative and organized through it all. We have switched seamlessly between distance and on campus learning. My child loves her teacher, her school, and her classmates. Somehow I've even made amazing connections with families in this socially distant time. And most important, my daughter is learning! She is excited to show me the reading, writing, math and music she has learned and I'm so impressed. She actually loves her online classes when we are remote learning. And of course she is learning with the love of God every step of the way. I love this school! Did I mention the awesome campus, easy drop/off and pick up?

I can't believe this school is only in its first year. Throughout these months my son has had amazing personal growth because of the opportunities he has had at Victory Christian Academy - which just wouldn't have happened at any other school. He's enjoying his classes (and getting good grades - thanks to the dedicated and caring faculty), he's taken on a leadership role, and talks about going to college with excitement! Amazing! The diverse student body is positive and supportive, the staff VERY good at their jobs, and the curriculum well-rounded (and although other school districts are currently cutting these student opportunities, VCA has strong programs including sports, art, music, drama, and cutting-edge science and technology). They even provide free tutoring in math before school! So glad we made the decision for our son to attend here!

VCA is an amazing school. They have handled everything that has been thrown at Sonoma County this year beautifully. They transitioned to VCA @ Home so smoothly and have done a wonderful job communicating with families, asking for our feedback and listening to it all along the way. I truly feel like my Freshman has not fallen behind academically during this time, and she knows she is part of a community that truly cares about her. The staff, principal and board members have gone above and beyond to create this special place. There is a feeling of acceptance and genuine caring when you are there. If you are looking for a school for your K-12th student, I highly recommend checking out VCA.

What a great first year! Victory Christian follows in the footsteps of Rincon Valley Christian School that has been providing Christian education in Santa Rosa for 49 years. Victory Christian has been a blessing to my son and to our family. My son had a great time playing Basketball and Volleyball making it to the championship games for both with his 8th grade team. The teachers and coaches have been so encouraging while providing an excellent learning environment that focuses on Christ. They help the students to grow and to meet the world ahead fully prepared. We have been so blessed by this school and look forward to next year!

VCA has been an amazing addition to our family this year. It is a wonderful school that establishes a fabulous community. I have never been more at peace to leave my 5-year-old somewhere I cannot stay. Every morning as we dropped her off on the playground the older girls would say "Hey, Good morning! Come play with us!" She would then have no problem leaving me and go hug everyone and play. This alone would have made the school worth it for us. But In addition, they run the school with a Biblical worldview. The staff are easy to communicate with and they take their students education seriously. I'm so excited to see them grow and continue and we are so excited about our older daughter to join the VCA family next year.
