School Notes

  • Trinity Christian Academy in Willow Park, Texas, is a college-preparatory Christian school founded in 1993. We serve a student body of approximately 520 students in grades PK3-12. First and foremost, TCA is a Christian school. While we are proud of our excellent academic record, highly competitive athletic program, and steadily growing creative arts department, we understand that the key to an eternal impact is not in test scores, championships, or packed auditoriums. While we may work toward those goals, we want much more than this for our students! The true measure of success is the degree to which the lives of our people reflect God`s truth and goodness to a world in desperate need of the good news of Jesus.
  • We do this by keeping the 3 cornerstone values in mind throughout all aspects of school life-Relationships, Excellence, and Service. As servants of a loving, giving God, we see strongRelationshipsas a great priority. Our staff works alongside students, parents, and local churches to help our students fulfill God`s purposes for their lives and reach their maximum potential. Structures are in place for students of all ages to mentor and learn from one another, and small class sizes allow the attention students need and deserve. Trinity students work hard and seekExcellencein the classroom and on stage. TCA Eagle and Lady Eagle athletes train hard and give their best on fields and courts of play. As a school and individuals bearing the name of Christ, we expect no less! Yet while we understand the value of effort and its potential rewards (Prov. 14:23), we also know it is possible to gain the world and end up with nothing of real value (Matt. 16:26). Our school`s motto, "Student Success for God`s Glory," reflects our desire for excellence in all things while never losing sight of greater, eternal goals.
  • Serviceis a key part of the TCA experience for students of all ages. From elementary students meeting visiting missionaries and serving at the nursing home down the street to older students taking trips across cultures on overseas mission trips, our students and staff give of themselves. We recognize that there is no greater way to show our heavenly Father how much we love Him than to love and serve people who bear His image.
  • The most common description of Trinity Christian Academy used by students, teachers, and parents is "family," and family has to be seen and felt to be understood. If you have an interest in joining our TCA family, please contact us to schedule a tour.

This school is like a family and very welcoming. My son has grown so much academically and spiritually. You know a school is doing it right when many of the staff have been the 10+ years. Overall, it is a great school to attend.

Knowing that our children would spend most of their weekday hours at school, it was important to find a school that aligned and would partner with us in a Christ-centered manner. We have been at TCA for 7 years with our daughter and son. The teachers are amazing, not only scholastically, but also in shepherding and discipling our children in truth, grace and love. Open communication has been a consistent blessing, from rough days because a little one was tired to a phone call on the weekend to discuss a child's utter disdain for reading and the teacher's suspicion of an eye condition. She told us all about a specialist in our area and had all of the contact information ready to share. The condition was confirmed and a disdain for reading turned into reading for fun. Small class sizes allow for the teachers to really observe and understand their students and work with them in their areas of struggle to help them thrive in the gifts God has given them. As parents, we love TCA but our children love it just as much and want to get there as soon as the doors open each morning. Our youngest even wanted to go back two weeks early from summer vacation! ***We have participated in science and history fairs, volleyball, basketball, and cheer. All have been a great experience. We love chapel each week, our Bible buddies, and core (small) groups!

My son started TCA in 6th grade after attending public school K-5. We love the smaller class sizes and the fact that each teacher and administrator demonstrates a genuine love of teaching and their students. He and his friends are challenged and thriving through middle school. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a Christian and loving environment for their child got visit and see for yourself. You won't regret it!

Our son was not thriving in the public school system. He was frustrated that the values he encountered each day at school did not align with the values he was learning at home. Although he was always a straight-A student, he struggled to fit in socially. TCA has turned everything around for him. He loves being part of his core group, lives the seating at lunchtime, and lives the small class sizes that allow him to interact 1:1 with his instructors. Our family says a little prayer of thanks every evening for TCA and the amazing people who make it up!

We have three children at Trinity Christian Academy. We are grateful for this wonderful Christian school. From our first interaction with TCA, we have loved the family environment. The administration, teachers, and staff care for and educate the whole child - body, mind, and soul.

Between our two kids we have attended 3 private schools in the area. We have been at TCA for 5 years now. The faculty and staff are top notch. The small class sizes allow them to really get to know each child so we form a true partnership. We have experienced each grade Pre-K 4 through 4th grade. We couldn't ask for a better place for our kids to spend the majority of their waking hours. They are loved and encouraged and redirected, and Jesus would do.

If you are looking for a private school that challenges, stimulates, and fosters all things important to raising an independent thinker, hard working individual, with a strong Christian foundation, Trinity is that school. The one on one attention the teachers are able to give due to class size, is definitely a plus. The transition from high school to college will be easy for graduates of TCA because of the level of academic expectations. We are thankful to have made the move 3 years ago.

We have had 1 child graduate from Trinity Christian Academy and have 2 others still in school there. Our experiences have been wonderful! The classes are small. The teachers truly love the kids and are engaged. The staff love Jesus and pursue excellence. There is a family atmosphere that is absent from most schools. The parents are expected to be very involved in their child's school. I love that my kids learn about the Bible, learn things like chemistry, and can explore arts and athletics. The price is lower than most private Christian schools.

Trinity Christian Academy is a great school. It has very caring teachers who help you understand something if you don't understand. The faith based background is very important, so people get to worship Him freely. Everyone here is very kind and caring. This school has a home like feel and that is a good thing.

I enjoy the atmosphere within the school. The teachers are so nice to all of the students and put a ton of effort into their jobs everyday. They work so hard to help their students succeed in their class and every teacher really enjoys their job. Also the students are super nice and I enjoy getting to come to a school like this where most students will say hi and ask you how your day is going when you pass them in the hallway. Plus I am an athlete and the sports here are amazing so that will always be a plus for me!

TCA is an unbelievable school. The teachers really care about the students needs. I love the one on one action you can have with the teachers and other students. The small class sizes really helps to better connect to the course and with friends. I love the fact that TCA offers so many outstanding sports selections and extra curricular classes. I also really appreciate the fact that we get a college preparatory education that ties into Christ.

I have been at TCA for 7 years and I absolutely love it! The teachers really take an interest in the students academic endeavors. They are always willing to help students with their studies, and provide sufficient answers to all questions. TCA offers different courses for students to take, including AP, Honors and Duel Enrollment. The Christ-centered mindset of TCA helps the students come together as a whole that is united in Christ, letting the students make new friendships in everything.

Our family has been at TCA for almost 12 years and we love it! One daughter is a graduate and excelling as a sophomore in college. Our other daughter is a junior and excited about her future as a 2016 graduate. We appreciate the college prep education they have received and the chance they've had to participate in Christian League Athletics, with Christian coaches. Most of all, we value the Christian guidance and love the staff has poured into their lives. We love our TCA family!

I highly recommend Trinity Christian Academy. Our family has been here for 7 years. Our daughter graduated from TCA in 2015 and had so many opportunities because of the small class sizes and really knowing her teachers. She graduated with 9 college credit hours. Our son is a junior this year and is earning college credit with a duel enrollment course, giving him a real hands on college experience. He has had the opportunity to excel in sports as well because of our strong Christian coaches that are very experienced in the sports they coach. True college prep school, worth the investment with a real sense of family.
