School Notes

  • Play is not just something to do in between activities. It’s an important activity in itself. Play is active and engages the whole brain, providing opportunities that are multi-sensory, creative and imaginative.?We believe in hands-on, child directed play. When children are learning and playing with joy, then it is a positive experience. Often times, they don’t even realize they are learning because they are so interested! We believe in offering children educational and social opportunities at an age-appropriate level. With these experiences, imaginations will soar as they learn about who they are and how things work.
  • We have developed a seasonal play-based curriculum thatencompasses literacy, art, music, mathematics, science, sensory integration, dramatic play, and small group activities. Learning through play promotes a life-long love for learning. Each unit has flexibility to be stretched over a few months, or a few days depending on the interest level of the children. Specialists visit throughout each unit to enhance the learning experience, as well as a weekendfield trips 4 times a year.
