Under the current leadership of Vanessa Ullmann, her outstanding faculty and SACS (Southern Association of Colleges & Schools) Accrediations, The Kessler School is unlike many schools that concentrate solely on children's academic growth.
We recognize the need for a balance in children's lives.
In addition to a strong academic base, we provide students with a variety of arts and cultural experiences to enhance learning: Spanish language instruction, visual arts, PE and music.

The Kessler School has been an exceptional home for my daughter for the past three years. The small class size and access to teachers and administrators have helped foster a sense of community that we didn't sense when touring other schools. One of my favorite aspects of the school is the Readers and Writers Workshop curriculum. It has made my reluctant reader into a voracious one who also comes home with "books" she writes every week. I also appreciate the dedication to movement—students have daily PE and recess, flex seating within the classroom, and ample opportunities to move about and learn in the courtyard, on the field, etc.

"The Kessler School is an outstanding educational resource for our family. The best proof of that? We have two boys with two very different learning styles and personalities, who are both happy and eager to go to school every day. For us, The Kessler School is the perfect fit. Small, welcoming classes. Devoted, creative teachers. Proactive, experienced staff. Involved, friendly parents. TKS provides an ideal schooling environment along with individualized education plans tailored to help each and every child thrive. Communication is exceptional from daily classroom posts and newsletters to student-led conferences and teacher check-ins, we feel informed, involved, and invited to take an active role in our children's progress. TKS also offers an enriching aftercare program, a fantastic literacy coach on staff (TKS is a great place to raise a future reader and writer), and specialists in art, music, physical education, and languages. It's easy to list the many great offerings, in fact, but what's harder to describe is the warmth you feel from the moment you step inside the school The Kessler School is truly a nurturing, accepting, empowering place that insists on teaching fairness, fostering mutual respect, and building a better, more compassionate community. We couldn't be more pleased with what our boys are learning and who they are becoming as people. Please take a school tour and consider becoming an extended member of the greater TKS family."- Peter Short & Sue Batterton, Parents, The Kessler School.
