My son entered TCS in 1991. I'm sure a lot has changed since then but I'm sure it is still the amazing school it was then. We went to visit when he was 11 months old. They let him play in the pre-school while I spoke with the director. When it was time to go, he didn't want to leave. The parents in my son's grade were very involved in planning activities and using their entertainment skills to direct some very professional productions. They prepared a video for graduation that was a real tear jerker. My son went on to USC and then received a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. I chose The Country School because I believed social and emotional development and self esteem were the foundation that made anything possible. When that is there academics happen. Our son is planning to approach his parenting the same way. Right now he is working at a hospital helping to support a team taking care of COVID-19 patients.

We are entering our fifth year at the Country School and couldn't be happier. Our daughter is flourishing, and her outgoing nature is celebrated and channeled into leadership opportunities, rather than being dampened by in-the-box thinking. TCS is a place that tailors the education experience to each child's needs, resulting in proactive, creative, flexible thinkers who see the world as a place to explore and improve. I wish every child could have a TCS education.

TCS is so much more than a school to us - it is a family. It is a nurturing place where children are safe to express themselves. The academics are top notch. We are in our 9th year there and the amazing teachers and staff have taken my children from pre-school to middle school. They intimately understand my children's strengths and weaknesses and they work with us to help them reach their full potential. They nurture great students and great human beings. They don't just talk about diversity, they embody it.
