At Taylor Chapel Preschool we believe Proverbs 22:6. "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." (NIV) Our mission at Taylor Chapel Preschool is to provide developmentally appropriate activities and programs in a caring, Christian environment to assist parents in training their children; building a solid foundation for their formal education, as well as developing their independence, social skills and an awareness of God and His love for them. We want our students to be like Jesus in that: "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." Luke 2:52 (NIV).

- Taylor Chapel Preschool provides a safe, Christ-centered atmosphere where children grow and learn. We care that children learn language arts, math, and science through activities that are appropriate for their stages of development. We focus on building the foundation for all their further education to be built upon. We believe that learning is happening all the time when it comes to young children. As they spend time experiencing hands-on activities, in a play-based educational environment they are discovering, creating and wondering about their world and learning how to get along with others all along the way. We don't see this as a race and want to give children the time they need to develop as they play.

My son has a physical disability. At age four and half, he still could not walk, talk, and be potty trained. My husband and I contacted many private preschools. I was even willing to attend school with him to take care of his needs, but no school would accept him.
One day, it occurred to me that my son's former physical therapist mentioned about how nice Taylor Chapel Preschool was, so I contacted the church even though I knew the school was over for summer break. The director called me back the very next day and made a special trip to school to meet us. When we met her, she was very nice and caring. She observed my son, asked questions, and listened with great patience to everything I said. At the end, she said something that I will never forget, I don't see why you and your son cannot come to our school. God sends every child to us for a reason. I cried!! I cried because my little son was kicked around by other schools, and finally a door opened for him!!
In September, my son began to go to school for three mornings each week. I went to school with him. As the only parent in school, I was able to observe everything. And I have seen so many nice things about this school, but most of all, I like to mention three aspects.
First, the teachers pay attention to every child. We have to admit among a group of children, there must be some very smart and some ordinary, some super adorable and some not so impressive; however, from what I saw, I think children in Taylor Chapel preschool were respected and equally treated nicely.
Second, the teachers care about children. When I was in Taylor Chapel Preschool, I never got the impression that any of the teachers did not like what they do. They were always enthusiastic. When teaching, they were teachers; at recess, they were play mates; and sometimes, I saw teachers cuddle those kids exactly like their moms would do.
Third, Taylor Chapel has great atmosphere. I realized the simplest reason that I like Taylor Chapel was because I loved the atmosphere there. It was always like a big loving family. Everybody was nice to each other. The teachers were always willing to help. As parents, we all want our children to grow up happily and turn out to be nice people. And the simplest way is to let them grow up in places
where people are caring and loving.
I was very happy for sending my son to Taylor Chapel. He loved his school days, so did his mommy!!
