School Reviews

I never write reviews but I have to make sure that people hear the good about the school! As an early childhood educator myself, I am very very particular about my 4-year-old. He's been in the same schools that I've worked in his entire life up until preschool when he became too much of a handful working with me as his mom and taking me seriously as a teacher it was a struggle for him to balance it, and it was taking a toll on me more than anything! His behavior had been getting much more of a concern for me and I don't have much of a village. When the school was recommended for him I immediately went on Google and ran to Facebook mom's groups to get opinions of other people and I went from excitement to dread and guilt thinking " MY GOD, WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN HIM INTO?" I saw all these horrible comments about abuse and teachers even teasing the kids! I am not a parent that tolerates anything when it comes to my kids! So I was naturally on guarMR MY SON STARTED IN JUNE 2024. ACADEMICALLY, HE HAS EXCELLED RAPIDLY! HE HAS THE BEST MOST AMAZING CARING STAFF AND TEACHERS THAT WORK WITH HIM! SPECIFICALLY HIS COUNSELOR MR WALKER, HIS AMAZING-HEARTED TEACHER MISS JEANETTE, EVEN HIS ADMITTANCE TEAM MISS MAYA, AND THE TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR MR WESLEY! THEIR TRANSPORTATION STAFF AND DRIVERS OR EVEN AMAZING! I CANNOT EXPLAIN TO YOU GUYS IN ENOUGH WORDS HOW GRATEFUL AND BLESSED MY SON AND I ARE TO HAVE GAINED SUCH A STRONG AND TRULY COMPASSIONATE TEAM AND VILLAGE IN THESE FEW MONTHS! HIS TEACHER IS NOTHING SHORT OF A BLESSING! I WISH SHE COULD GO WITH HIM HIS WHOLE LIFE AFTER PRESCHOOL! SHE HAS TAUGHT HIM SO MUCH AND HE LOVES TO LEARN NEW THINGS EVERY DAY! YOU WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT THAT WOMAN HAS OTHER CHILDREN OR ANOTHER LIFE OUTSIDE OF YOUR CHILD THE WAY THAT HER COMPASSION FOR HER ROLE IN OUR KIDS LIFE SHOWS THROUGH YOUR CHILD! SHE ESTABLISHED A 101 RELATIONSHIP WITH MY SON AND NOT ONLY DOES HE LOVE HER TO DEATH BUT HE TRUSTS HER AND BECAUSE OF THAT HE HAS MADE HUGE CHANGES BEHAVIORALLY AS WELL! THAT LEADS ME TO MR WALKER ... OR AS MY SON LOVINGLY REFERS TO HIM " HIS PERSON " THAT IS HIS COUNSELOR OR THERAPIST. MR WALKER IS AMAZING AND TRULY A KIND SOUL WITH WISDOM AND COMPASSION BEYOND HIS YOUNG YEARS FOR WHAT HE DOES WITH THESE KIDS! HIS PATIENCE AND HUMANITY IS ASTONISHING! HE EVEN GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO TALK TO AND CHECK ON ME AS THE MOM! MR WESLEY, WE HAD SO MUCH GOING ON AND I JUST THOUGHT THAT FOR SURE ALL OF OUR TRANSPORTATION CHAOS AND NEEDS AND CONFUSION WAS GOING TO DRIVE HIM CRAZY AND HE WOULD CERTAINLY GET FED UP, BY THE REVIEWS I READ I FULLY EXPECTED THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM AND DISRESPECT FROM NOT ONLY HIM BUT THE ENTIRE SCHOOL AND INITIALLY I BELIEVE I UNCONSCIOUSLY APPROACHED EVERY INITIAL SITUATION OR COMMUNICATION WITH A LEVEL OF DEFENSE.SO, I MUST APOLOGIZE PUBLICLY BECAUSE I AM GUILTY FOR TAKING PART IN SPREADING THE NEGATIVE IMAGE BASED ON THE INITIAL REVIEWS, WHILE SPEAKING TO SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE ALL OF THESE INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING NAMES I HAVE NOT INDIVIDUALLY MENTIONED ONLY BECAUSE THERE ARE A FEW I CANNOT REMEMBER AND I TRULY WISH I COULD BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT AND LOVED BY MY SON AS THE OTHERS, THE OTHER STAFF, GROUP LEADERS, LITERALLY EVERY ADULT WHO HAS INTERACTED WITH MY SON HAS MADE AN IMPRESSION IN SUCH A SHORT TIME! I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR ST VINCENT'S PREPARATORY ACADEMY BECOMING OUR BIGGEST SUPPORTER, IN OUR VILLAGE. I TRULY DO NOT BELIEVE WE WOULD BE IN THIS POSITIVE PLACE MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION THIS SUCCESSFULLY IF IT WAS NOT FOR YOU GUYS AND YOUR ROLE IN MY SON'S LIFE! IF YOUR CHILD IS STRUGGLING WITH BEHAVIOR, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, TRAUMAS, OR ANYTHING, THIS TRULY IS YOUR BEST BET MAMAS! GRATEFULLY, STACEY ( lLuh'kai's mom)
