Two of our children are attending St. Timothy and we really like it. A supportive community, caring principal, teachers, and staff. Friendly environment at every level. Teachers show high academic expectations as well as students' manners and attitudes. Traditional virtues and values with an open and acceptive mindset. Great school. I am glad our children can grow up here. Thank you!

Family-oriented, diverse, inclusive, and overall a wonderful school. The teachers are focused on the students and their success. My children love going to school every day and love every teacher they have had. I feel like my kid's matter and are not just a number. My son struggled in public school and now he is getting the support he needs from St. Timothy's School!

Belonging, inclusiveness, community are 3 words that come to mind when I think about our experience here at St. Timothy's. Everyone from the teachers, staff, parents, and principal deeply cares for my children. To have a principal that knows each child and each family by name sure says a lot. I know my children are safe, have made deep connections with peers, and are getting the best education and support. I cannot recommend St. Timothy's enough.

We couldn`t be more pleased with St. Timothy`s as a family. The friendships built, not only for our children but also as parents, have been amazing! The teachers and staff are more than trusted educators in my mind. They are approachable, relatable and part of a team to ensure my child is cared for and successful. Our campus is diverse with single classrooms per grade. St. Timothy`s has an extremely supportive tight-knit community that you won`t be disappointed to be a part of.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to send our child to St. Timothy School! Inclusive and kind, Catholic faith based, K-8 community. Professional, experienced principal and pastoral leadership, a faculty who truly cares about student success, combined with a welcoming parent community, helps students feel safe to thrive and grow. The classrooms are clean and beautifully maintained. High academic standards include Archdiocesan approved grade level curriculum (grade level standards), Spanish, PE, social, emotional learning, as well as a yearly Advent Musical, and Talent Show. Families appreciate the flexible and affordable before and after school care. The school's on- site counselor and learning support specialist are also available. If you are interested in learning more about this gem of a school community, please reach out to the school office via phone, website, or email.

Our family has joined the St. Timothy school in 2015 and I am amazed at how welcoming the community was and felt that my family belongs there. I like that the school is open to all faiths and focuses on teaching my child how to treat everyone equally and with kindness. The school helped my child to develop into this wonderful being that is open, diverse, and respectful of everyone's culture. The teacher and school staff are kind and nice. If ever I have questions, the parents who have been there for quite, are such great resources. I love that they have affordable after-school child care which gives me the flexible especially being a single parent to be able to work late and still have the confidence that my child is being cared for when I'm ready to get her after school. I like that she has the opportunity to play sports and learn from wonderful coaches on how to be disciplined and teamwork which she can take when she leaves this school. The academic is well balanced and prepares them for high school. Overall I am very pleased with this school and the education that my daughter has received which she will bring with her all through her life.

We joined the St. Timothy community 3 years ago - when our girls were in 1st and 3rd grades - and we could not be more thrilled with our decision. Our daughters immediately felt welcomed into the warm, supportive atmosphere. The individual attention that they have received from not only their classroom teachers but also from the principal, Ms. Basile, and lead administrative assistant Mrs. Allen has been instrumental in their love of the school community (our elder daughter was disappointed that she couldn't go to school during spring break!)Ms. Basile is an extraordinary leader - she spearheaded the school's response to COVID-19, with transparency and frequent communication to ensure that all of the parents were/are well-informed regarding school precautions and policies. She is incredibly responsive to any concerns brought up by parents, welcoming ideas and feedback in her efforts to optimize learning for all of the students. Her investment in the students and the school community is palpable. I also love the size of the school - one class per grade - which allows us to have a close community! I could not give St. Tim's a higher recommendation.

We selected St. Timothy as our first choice amount the three San Mateo Catholic elementary schools because we were seeking a small class size and greater diversity that we felt would be obtained at the other schools. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Every morning feels like we're dropping our children off with family. The teachers and staff are warm and caring and very communicative with what's happening in the classroom. The school community is amazing, older students seem to care for and support younger students much more than what I was used to in my Catholic school days. Each student has their own tablet and there are Smart Boards in every classroom. I cannot recommend this school enough.

Our family has been a part of the St Timothy School community for the past 10 years. My favorite way to describe the school is that it's a melting pot of diversity. All people and faiths are welcome. Our daughter recently graduated from St Timothy and is now in high school. The education she received was instrumental in the placement of her high school classes. The teachers and staff helped to challenge her both academically and spiritually. While at St Timothy, she participated in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She was a member of the Campus Ministry, the school band, and served as an altar server. Our son is currently an elementary school student and is enjoying the challenging curriculum the teachers create for him. Our overall experience continues to be a positive one. We recommend this school as a welcoming place for spiritual and academic growth.

Looking for a great school? Well, St. Timothy School is the one. I have a son and he is an only child. During our son's preschool years my husband and I were looking for a good school. We researched both public and private schools. We went to all the open houses and of all the schools we visited, St. Timothy School stood out the most. After learning about St. Timothy, we stopped looking for a school. We both decided to enroll our son here and felt it was a good choice. The moment my husband and I walked onto the campus we were warmly greeted by Mrs. Basile who is the principal. She made time to speak with us and answer any questions we had for her. Mrs. Allen is the first person you see when walking onto the school steps. Even though she doesn't know you, she welcomes you with open arms. Their welcome is very nice and is one that you don`t get from other schools. We asked a lot of questions about the school and their plans for the future, and Mrs. Basile answered them all. Questions about sports, academics, and extracurriculars, we got the answers. We asked Mrs. Basile if we could see each grade just to get an idea of how our son's future might look and were able to observe Kindergarten to 8th grade. We were impressed with how the school was run and it seemed very organized and well kept. We saw how the teachers were teaching their students and how engaged the students were at each level. Notably, we observed that the children were well-spoken, well mannered, and well presentable compared to other schools we had visited in San Mateo. My son started in kindergarten and now he is in 5th grade. Each teacher and teacher's assistant has been so helpful in my son's education. If we had any concerns, we made sure to address them with the teacher and always found the teacher more than receptive. They go beyond their regular teaching if my son needs extra help without any hesitance. With each teacher that my son's had so far, I had the impression that the teacher did not want any child to fall behind if they didn't understand the material. I am thankful for those teachers who have helped my son improve in his subjects. But at the same time, as a parent, it is also our job to help our son. St. Timothy school is a great school because it is preparing my son for his next chapter, which is middle school. This school has shown him what it is to be responsible, respect others, learn to love, be kind, be honest, and most importantly, help others. As a parent, I have also learned a lot from being in this community. I have made friends with other families who share the same values. This community is very special because everyone helps each other and wants to make this community stronger and that is a beautiful part of this school. We continue to enroll our son each year because I can see all the teachers and principle want their students to thrive to prepare them in life. What we have seen so far is one excel in their school material to be well prepared for the next grade level and the second is public speaking in front of the entire school and in mass with confidence and well spoken. For this age group I have not seen until late middle school or high school in public school but in St. Timothy, the school start as early in kindergarten. We are looking forward to what wait for our son for the next three years "MIDDLE SCHOOL"!

Our family joined St Timothy several years ago and were amazed at how welcoming the community was. Our kids are getting a wonderful education in a diverse accepting community and our kids will have the tools to easily transition to high school. I like that the school is open to all faiths and focuses on teaching the students to treat each other with kindness. The administrative staff is wonderful and kind. They provide a good structure and are understanding and helpful with parents. The school also has many wonderful teachers. The school employs an online portal for students and parents where announcements, homework assignments, grades, events, etc., etc. are all available to stay informed. They also have a 'before' and 'after' care program with great staff. The cost (~$7.00/hr) is extremely reasonable and we are allowed to drop them off or pick them up whenever, making it very flexible too. The sports program is not Division 1 but it is getting better. My kids have had some really great coaches and have learned a lot. Overall I would give this school top marks and am happy we joined this community.
