An apostolate of St. Stephen Parish, the mission of St. Stephen Catholic School is to partner withparents in the whole person formation of their child who is made in the image of God anddestined for communion with Him.
St. Stephen Catholic School strives to form students "fully alive" as seekers of truth, lovers ofgoodness, and creators of beauty, who shape their own lives to be beautiful and who seek toshare Christ who is Beauty itself with others.
St Stephen School is a school with high academic standards, a low student-teacher ratio, a diverse student population and a commitment to weaving our Catholic faith into everything we do.
Our educational vision begins with the understanding that culture (understood in the broadestsense of the word) shapes and engages the developing child in loving and desiring truth. Christian anthropology grounds our vibrant school culture and finds expression in every aspectof school life: from our rich liberal arts curriculum and pedagogy to our student life andapproach to discipline.
Our teachers and staff get to know each student and offer innovative educational approaches, small class sizes, enrichment opportunities, and extracurriculars like art, computers and Spanish from pre-school through 8th grade.
The Way of Beauty curriculum at St. Stephen is a core k-8 sequence of workshops and studios wherein students learn to discover beauty and create it through handiwork and the fine arts. This sequence is integrated with our liberal arts curriculum in such a way that the student grows in the image of God by crafting his or her own life to be beautiful in response to the beauty encountered in the created world and expressed in the student`s own creative work. This creativity is a gift to be put at the service of others. Examples of our workshops and studios include but are not limited to: carpentry, calligraphy, stained glass window making, surveying, plays, iconography, architecture, the art of cooking, drawing, singing, painting.
At St. Stephen, we understand the significance of selecting the right learning environment for your child through our multi age teaching approach.
As we respect diverse academic levels, faith traditions, and socioeconomic backgrounds, we commit ourselves to the education of the whole person mind, body and spirit.
By our words, actions and attitudes we encourage students to be active in their faith, respectful of others, and thirsty for knowledge.
It is our mission to equip them for a lifetime of learning, leadership and service.
St. Stephen School partners with parents in their God-given role as the primary educators of their children. For this reason, we are eager to support parents who have discerned homeschooling for their child by offering the option to register for a variety of classes.
