School Notes

  • We believe that each child is loved by God and uniquely created for a sublime purpose. Therefore, we must help our students to love God and neighbor with a whole heart; to think, judge, and act with right reason; and to use their education to better embrace Catholic teachings and the example of Christ. To accomplish this aim, the school strives to create a Christian atmosphere of care and concern in which all children may grow toward their full potential spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The very nature of the child requires a coordinated education, which is the product of a cooperative effort by home, church, and school. It is through this harmonious partnership that the aim of Catholic education is achieved. We believe that the "effective Catholic School must call its pupils to the conviction that people are more important than material gain, that justice is more important than success, that love is more important than esteem, and that collaboration unites while competition divides. The truly successful Catholic School student is not necessarily one who is successful in every endeavor, but one who accepts Christian responsibility for fulfillment of personal potential and shares these gifts with others." I went to St. Mary's from k-8, and I truly couldn't imagine my children going anywhere else. I currently (4/2022) have one about to graduate 8th grade, one in pre-k 3, and one who is more than ready to start. There is no better feeling than knowing when we take our boys to school that we do not have to worry about what they are being exposed to or taught. Teachers and staff are always in communication and never hesitant to speak with me whenever I ask, and it really does feel like we are all family, The morals and values that my children are being taught are hands down the best and I know they are being challenged academically, it's a win-win.

St. Mary's Catholic School has exceeded our expectations. We switched over from public school to private this year and our faith in teaching has been restored. There is mutual respect between the teachers and the students at St. Mary's which helps to create a productive learning environment. Our daughter's excitement for learning has been re-energized during her time at St. Mary's. Our only regret is that we did not come to St. Mary's sooner.
