St. Mark Lutheran Church started a Lutheran elementary school in September of 1984.
The elementary school is currently a two room school with classes for students from Kindergarten-8th grade.
We have two full time teachers. We also use volunteers from the congregation that allow us to give a quality Christian education. The school's primary purpose is to aid in the Christian education of the members of St. Mark Lutheran.
If space is available, children of parents who are not members may enroll.
For the 2023-2024 school year there are 24 students enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
St. Mark offers a full curriculum that includes math, science, social studies, reading, phonics, language, spelling, handwriting, and, most importantly, the study of God's Word.
The Word of God classes for the Kindergarten through 3rd graders are the teaching of Bible stories.
The 4th-8th grade students have catechism instruction in addition to these bible story lessons.
Because we are teaching the children our church doctrine, parents that are not members of St. Mark Lutheran Church need to meet with our pastor a few times before their child can be enrolled, so that the parents and the pastor can discuss some of the key points that will come up in the religion classes.
