We highly recommend enrolling your children in St. Joseph Catholic School. Our kids are excelling in school where they were not getting what they needed from public schools. They are not only learning and preparing for college, but learning life lessons. The teachers have my kids best interest in mind and are always there to help and guide them. My girls play high school sports and have made lifelong friends while enjoying what they love. We are so blessed to have made the switch from public school to St. Joseph!

Normally, I would modify Groucho's suggestion that you never join an organization that would have me as a member, but the character and work ethic of my colleagues at Saint Joseph Catholic High School is simply too impressive to overlook. It's easy to generalize, so let me be specific about just this last week at our school. This week alone I smiled to watch the video of an alum receiving the mayor's award for lifetime service highlight his time at Saint Joe and specifically mention our treasure of art teacher, Ms. Barker, as one who nurtured him in ways that continue to resonate in his life. I met with a handful of teachers all concerned about how to help a particular student succeed with no blame in their words, only caring and hope. I read about our fabulous jack of trades and wearer of many hats, Mr. Salvo quickly answers the call to help a colleague's family member simply because he could and despite it being a holiday weekend. I chatted with two former students who are now teaching in our community - one in the English Dept. and one in Theater Dept. - a testament to the power of place that always makes me smile. I met three times this past week with our wonderful new counselor, Ms Ybaben, about how we can all support a student who is struggling temporarily, and remain delighted that she was already addressing the issue before I shared my concerns. And I delighted in the participation of five peers who graciously agreed to play the role of mock House of Representatives, so that the AP US Government class has someone to send their bills to during our mock US Senate sessions (I regret to inform the world that their first two bills went down to defeat in the House.....). Such moments pepper life at St Joseph. It's this level of care that leads me to tell others that I would not hesitate to send my student to our school, ..... Groucho's warning or not. - Jay Hart

I am a proud Jayhawk alumni! I went to Saint Joseph my whole life and could not be happier with the endless opportunities I was provided with. St. Joe set me up for success academically and was always pushing me to be the best student I could. The academic programs and teachers were beyond amazing and put me in a position to succeed in college and get the job of my dreams because of the foundation I had during high school. Not only did St. Joe push me academically, but I also became the person I am today because of the people I was surrounded by. There are countless clubs to be a part of, excellent athletic programs and coaches in place, and a community that supports every individual. I could not be prouder to say I was a lifer at Saint Joseph!

The student to teacher ratio allows for students to receive individual care from faculty. This allows for students who struggle with motivation, who would otherwise be overlooked at a larger institution and fall through the cracks, to receive individual attention and to ultimately attain success. This individual attention by teachers also allows for students who are extremely motivated to fulfill their potential and achieve great success that they otherwise may not have been able to achieve. St. Joseph Catholic High School helps students become better than who they think they are, because the teachers firmly believe that students are indeed better than they think they are. The task of our teachers is to help the students recognize that reality within themselves, and subsequently, to guide students to become who they truly are. You will not find a better school in Utah. It is the individual attention your child receives that will spell the success of your child. No other school, no matter how large, cannot replicate the personal touch of St. Joe's. I cannot recommend this school enough.

"The mind will not be educated at the expense of the heart." If you seek an holistic education for your student, one which will challenge their minds and promote spiritual growth, St. Joseph Catholic High School boasts both high academic expectations and unparalleled attention on God and service. The individual attention each student receives from faculty help them achieve their potential, particularly in students who do not see the greatness within themselves. Our teachers help students recognize their own potential to succeed only because our teachers recognize this in the students first. You can never hope to find a better community that is so personally invested in the success of your student than at St. Joseph Catholic High School. I cannot recommend this school enough.

My daughter and son both attended Saint Joseph and I could not be any happier about the decision to send my children to this school. Saint Joseph provides an excellent education and countless opportunities for academic success as well as personal growth. I have been a parent, coach and now faculty member for almost 30 years and the community around the school is what keeps me inspired to be a part of it year after year. The faculty and staff truly care about each student and want to see each individual grow and succeed. The St. Joseph community is truly a family!

I am a teacher here at St. Joseph Catholic High School and love the environment/culture that has been cultivated here. You couldn't find a more caring place to send your child. The personal relationships we are able to build with each student due to our school size are such a blessing to both our teachers and students. Fostering these relationships is why we accomplish our school's mission of developing "the whole person."

I love working at Saint Joseph's! It is a super friendly community that feels like a big family. I love the small class sizes where I am able to spend time and help each student. I also love that we have a no cut policy with all of our sports/activities. It gives every student has an opportunity to be a part of something which I think is really special and sets us apart from other schools. Our administration has done a great job, especially this year, with putting protocols in place to keep us and the students safe during COVID-19. Very grateful to have kept our doors open all year. Love Saint Joes!

St. Joseph Catholic High School is an excellent institution with a long history of exemplary academics and extra-curricular programs. I am a teacher and a former student. I also send my two children to the elementary and middle schools and am very much looking forward to having them attend the high school when they are old enough. Each member of the faculty, staff, and administration is deeply committed to providing a quality education with individual attention given to every one of our students. We work diligently at our subjects to create a rigorous and supportive learning environment that meets the needs of students and their families. We also really enjoy what we do, which makes the work easier and the learning process more effective. I really can't imagine myself teaching anywhere else. It's a wonderful place.

Our family loves the comradely within the school not only with the parents and students but with all the teachers and staff. With this las year and COVID our school has stayed open with no shutdowns. St. Joseph worked diligently over the summer to put together programs to keep our kids safe and healthy and be able to remote learn with ease. My daughter has been remote all year and takes 3 AP classes on top of all her other work load and has been able to maintain her GPA. Then you have the amazing opportunities for scholarships! The counselors at the school work side by side with us to help our kids move on to their next step with ease. I honestly can not say enough about how great they are and the quality of curriculum they offer.

I am a teacher at St. Joseph Catholic High School. I love to work there! We have a great staff, faculty, and students. We are committed to bringing new and effective teaching strategies. Our students experience academic and social opportunities that emphasize the importance of Catholic values, which our society is so in need of nowadays. Besides that, we work with a lower student to teacher ratio, which allows more attention, engagement, and better opportunities to teach and learn.

The St. Joe community is the absolute best! The teachers, staff, and administration are caring and go out of their way to make sure your student has every opportunity to succeed. My son loves his teachers and has had a wonderful experience. He knows they care and knows his name. The academics are challenging, but my son is being turned into a young man right before our eyes. The whole person is always at the forefront for St. Joe, and the community is one of the strongest in the state! My younger son will be attending next year!

My son is a Sophomore at St. Joseph. This is his first year here, and we've been so happy with the decision to switch. My son is happy and thriving. For the first time, he says that school is fun. We were drawn to the smaller class sizes, which lead to more one-on-one help. The teachers have been incredible. They have a vested interest. My son has always been a good student, but he is more driven and determined now. He's also enjoyed getting involved with sports at the school. It's been a great experience for him. He says the students have been very friendly, and he's made friends easily.

Great school to consider if you are in the Ogden area or Davis/Weber counties. Small classes, involved and engaged teachers, and administration that works so hard to ensure the safety of every student. The academics are better than other private high schools in the area, and the college prep/readiness is unparalleled.

1st year for my son as a sophomore and we love it! Teachers are attentive and get to know each student. They call you out of no where just to tell you that your child is doing great in school! Academics are high and they want to see each child succeed. If your child wants to go to college they will help them get there!

We are very happy with the small class sizes and the level of individual attention. The teachers really take the time to get to know students and present the curriculum in a way that will get them excited about the topic. In addition to strong academics, the school promotes a culture that is positive and kind. They have a no cut policy for their athletic and arts programs, which allows any student to participate. There is a high level of student and parental involvement which translates into a very connected school community. Last year's graduates were awarded more than $19 million in scholarships, which averages to $206,000 per student. St. Joseph's students graduate well prepared for college and life.
