St. Francis Middle School

Bishop Quinn High School is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory institution founded in 1995 by the Diocese of Sacramento.
St. Francis Middle School, the only Middle school in the Diocese of Sacramento, was established in 1994 by combining the 6th, 7th and 8th grades from our two local parish schools at St. Joseph in Redding, and Sacred Heart in Anderson.
Both schools grew out of a need in Shasta County to offer quality Catholic education that would prepare our young people for success in college.
Both schools have earned the respect of the greater Shasta County community as institutions of educational excellence.
This year we are celebrating our 10th year anniversary under the theme of Learn well, Live well, Serve well - 10 Years of Excellence in Education..

School Notes

  • Please spend some time with us! As you explore our web site, I hope you will come to understand why Bishop Quinn High School and St. Francis Middle School are recognized by many in Shasta County as exceptional schools, priding themselves on not only college preparatory/Advance Placement courses for students in the high school, but also a comprehensive sports and co-curricular program that speaks to educating the whole child. All our students are involved with multiple leadership organizations, clubs, sports and other activities that enhance student passions while in school. Our students excel in English, history, the arts, science and math, and government, as many students are involved in such clubs as Science Bowl and Mock Trial teams, which are very successful regionally. As a Catholic Christian school, we offer an extensive service program where our students contribute many thousands of hours to the greater community each year. Our Retreat Programs are second to none as students come together as a class talking about relationships, family, future goals and aspirations and a stronger relationship with God. Bishop Quinn Schools are open to students of all faiths and experiences and that diversity is what makes stronger leaders for the future.
