St. Andrew's is, in fact, the ONLY school in the Northeast to employ Modern Socratic Teaching Techniques. These techniques were developed and designed to teach children HOW to learn. Test results in independent studies and state standardized exams substantiate the claim of accelerated learning. Most current testing results reveal that 94% of all 3-8 students earned a 3/4 in NYS Standards Testing. Independent testing, utilizing the Terra Nova Battery, indicate an average accelerated growth rate of 4.4 G.E.levels per grade. Simply stated, 3rd Graders are testing out at the 7th grade level, 4th graders at the 8th grade level, and so on up to 8th graders testing out at the 12th grade level. We are entering our third year of the project and anticipate even better results! There can be no better value for your education dollar than the accelerated learning of each child and all the opportunities that it affords.
