Notes for Prospective Students

St. Junipero Serra Catholic Preschool provides programs for children 36 months to 60 months of age, as well as an extended care program before and after morning preschool classes. 3-Year-old Preschool program for children who are 3 years old on or before December 1st. Young 4's Preschool program for children who turn 4 years old between September 1st through December 1st. Children applying for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by Sept 1st. Children applying for 1st grade must be 6 years old by Sept 1st. If you wish your child to be considered for 1st grade but they do not meet the deadline, your child will be required to be tested both academically and developmentally for acceptance. It will be the decision of the Principal to determine if your child would be able to enter into the 1st-grade program if they do not meet the birth date cut off.
