Riverside Presbyterian Day School is a school rich in history and tradition.
As a co-educational elementary school, RPDS was founded in 1948 as a mission of Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Riverside provides a supportive educational environment that continues to balance an emphasis on individualized learning with the need for children to participate within a nurturing, close-knit community. With this in mind, the curriculum at Riverside is designed to recognize students' individual needs and learning styles, at the same time guiding students to practice strategies for successful learning partnerships.
Through the use of broad academic curriculum providing exposure to rich literature, world cultures, studio art, music, science, mathematics, social studies, academic computing, physical education, spiritual formation and personal growth, students are equipped with the skills necessary to become life-long learners.
It is our goal that students will grow to understand that their education and their lives should be balanced spiritually, cognitively, and physically if they are to be truly prepared for success in secondary school, in college and the future.
At its heart, Riverside is a community rooted in faith and committed to providing a challenging academic curriculum, while it remains sensitive to the development of the whole child.
