Overview
Insight Colearning is a small private high school (i.e.
micro school) that provides challenging, individualized learning for intellectually curious young adults. Insight`s seminar-style courses and real-world educational experiences teach students skills to thrive in college and beyond.
Insight works with each individual student to tailor their education to meet their interests and needs. Insight teaches students to think independently and take charge of their own learning.
Insight is committed to helping students engage in the learning process and love learning (or love learning again).
Insight provides a nurturing, diverse community and respects students as emerging young adults.
Learning at Insight takes place largely outside the standard four walls of a school so students can connect with the larger community and do authentic work.
Camelot is a small, fully accredited, private school serving grades K-12 in Durham, NC. Camelot's small size and dedicated teaching staff make it possible for students to have a tailor-made educational experience.
While a student's academic progress is our primary concern, providing a safe, nurturing environment that supports social and emotional growth is part of our mission as well.
We seek to develop the whole person. Each student is given a "pretest" so the teacher can determine existing skills and knowledge.
Instruction begins where demonstrated mastery ends. As the student works through new material, the teacher provides instruction, feedback and guidance.
This may occur during one-on-one sessions, in small groups, or with the whole class.
