As a parent of three, I highly recommend PCDS to families looking for a rigorous, independent school right here in Park City. Their project-based learning approach really sets PCDS apart. My kids are not only being challenged academically, they are also challenged to think critically and creatively in every subject from science to literature to their Outdoor Ed excursions. My oldest is now a high school Freshman who has been placed into honors courses and tackling her first AP classes. I am proud to see how she strives to achieve excellent grades and, just as importantly, is striving to understand how to apply what she is learning to her future and the world around her. The foundation from the Day school has set her on a path of a lifetime of learning. My children have also benefited from PCDS's ability to provide differentiation in the classroom. Last year, my middle child thrived working in a higher-level math group (created for a few students in addition to the standard classroom leveled groups), while my youngest received on one and small-group reading support. By the end of the school year, he was fully up to speed and excelling in reading. The Day school educators truly know each student individually and come to class each day with a passion for teaching.

My family has been a part of the Day School for four years and we've immensely enjoyed the education and the community. Its core values are taught and integrated into each classroom - and it's impressive when your kindergartner comes home and explains "integrity" to you. The school has blossomed into a thriving learning environment with unique offerings such as an accelerated math curriculum, various outdoor education trips, gardening and nutrition taught in the greenhouse, and a performing arts program with each grade giving multiple performances throughout the year. This year, we've seen a lot of growth in the number of students/families, as well as growth in the qualifications and professional development of faculty. We really look forward to this school year!

We have two children at the Park City Day School (6 and 2). Our oldest has been attending the school for 4 years. We love the safe and warm culture of the school. The teachers and staff are all invested in each and every child. With that, each child feels heard and seen on a daily basis. The Park City Day School really focuses on social and emotional wellness, which gives each child the confidence that we want our child to learn. The school feels safe not only physically but emotionally. My children are excited every day to go to school. They feel safe and loved by their teachers and they are excited to be learning and growing with their peers each and every day.

Park City Day School has been an amazing place for our children (ages 5 and 7) and for our entire family. The school truly feels like an extension of our own family, often more in touch with us than our relatives and friends! The curriculum is outstanding, with strong mental and emotional support for the students. It's a loving environment where our kids are eager to go every day.The programming is diverse and enriching, covering early childhood education, performing arts, wellness, science, and much more. The teachers are exceptional, and the head of school has created a unique culture that makes our kids and family feel both welcomed and challenged. Moving from out of state a couple of years ago, Park City Day School played a crucial role in making our transition smooth. Moreover, the presence of the security dog and handler on campus provides us with great peace of mind regarding our children's safety.Overall, Park City Day School is a fantastic place that supports the academic, emotional, and social growth of its students. We are grateful to be part of this wonderful community.

This was our first year at PCDS and our middle-schooler could not have had a better transition year coming from a private school in California. Park City Day School provides a warm and supportive environment, and the small-class system makes it such that every student receives the academic attention they need, be it to enhance and supplement their learning journey or provide more support. The school also puts great emphasis on community and aims to engage parents and families through year-round events, volunteer opportunities, and educational sessions. One of our favorite programs at PCDS is their Outdoor Education; it has been amazing watching our child thrive and gain more confidence through these fun-filled, yet challenging and rewarding experiences. The new head of school, along with other staff members in new leadership roles, have been a great asset this year and have introduced excellent changes and enhancements both to the academic program and the community. We believe PCDS provides our child with the balance we were seeking when we moved here: a wholesome experience that sparks a love for learning without sacrificing the emphasis on the human experience through the school's Strive for Five program, inclusivity, and engagement with the outdoors and the international community.

Park City Day School has been a magical place for our two children. I see them connecting with teachers, thriving socially, enjoying the outdoors that we live here for, and extremely excited about learning. They continue to love attending school. I am grateful for the educators at PCDS because they truly care about the whole child. This is important because development happens in all areas of a child, beyond the standard classroom subjects and wall. I am thankful for PCDS!

We have loved PCDS. The new headmaster, teachers and energy are awesome. It feels like we get the pedigree of teachers and headmaster of an elite school on the East Coast with the vibe of Park City. Just a perfect combination.

My child attended Park City Day School from the beginning. She has since moved on to High School. However, she did so exceptionally prepared to the challenges and rigor of advanced coursework, honors, AP, concurrent enrollment, college courses. I feel strongly that PCDS prepared her academically, socially, and emotionally to excel in any environment. The focus on their core values and her advisor in middle school ensured she not only gained academic knowledge, but skills for studying, collaborating, and grit. I would strongly recommend PCDS to any family.
