Our kids have greatly benefitted from their OLV education. The school spotted some difficulties one of our children was having with reading that had been dismissed in public school. We are happy that someone noticed it early, and we could get him the help he needed. We have been happy with the communication with his teachers on his progress and know he won't slip through the cracks in such a small class. Our other child would probably perform well academically anywhere, but she has thrived at OLV. A small school and class size have encouraged her to break out of her shell. We also were pleased to find a real community at the school and have gotten to know our kids' classmates, their parents, and the teachers and staff. The Catholic teachings focus on God loving you and you love your neighbor, and we like the foundation it provides for going out into the world. It is a welcoming, liberal Catholic community.

Excellent school. Great emphasis on academics. The head of school is English and infuses rigor into the program. Small classes and great teacher/student ratios. Has music and arts program. Is in midst of a facilities expansion program. Good mix of upper/mid/low income students. Innovative teaching methods.
